Wonder Girls Confirm Comeback date not as a Dance Group, but as a 4-member band

Earlier, the Wonder Girls made waves after it was announced that they would be making a comeback, and not as a dance group, but as a band! Now they have also confirmed their comeback date, showcasing their new image and sound in the heat of summer, August 3.

JYP Entertainment confirmed that date, saying to Sports Today that “Wonder Girls is preparing their album with the goal of making a comeback on August 3.”

The newly regrouped Wonder Girls will see the return of Sunmi and be a four-member band- Yeeun on keyboard, Hyelim on the guitar, Sunmi on bass, and Yoobin on the drums.

It has been three years since the Wonder Girls last released a song; it was 2012′s “Like This.”

With knowing Korean market this seems like a mistake for me, but good luck for them. (If they wanted to seem more like "real artists" than idols in Korea why not to comeback with a self composed ballad or something for a change instead of going into this drastic measures?)

I think this is good albeit risky idea.. you know so many girl groups are making comeback this year, you need something different to be stand out.
WG is older group, their comeback is highly anticipated, so at least the hype is there, now it just needs the right execution.

So I'm pretty excited, and looking forward, and hopefully they deliver.

And if they make it (CROSSED FINGERS AND TOES), hopefully AOA can comeback later with their band concept, and will make more girl bands being recognized ( I don't know much, but I believe there are some "underground" bands that are pretty good )

I'm not a huge fan of WG (I stanned them because they are from JYP) but this sounds interesting and I'm curious to see how well it'll work out for them. I feel like it's a bit of a risk though.
