I really don't get why people always say that. I'm a dancer myself and while Jessica is lazy when it comes to dancing often, she definitely danced just as hard or lazy as the other members in this MV.

The vocal average definitely went down after becoming OT8. Other than Jessica's singing, everything else seems to be similar to the current version - good visuals, eh choreo and dancing, terribad song....

mkay sica nails the high notes... we all get it, the song is still generic though tiffany's part was shorter, which i prefer but idk w/o sica i'm glad sooyoung, yuri and hyoyeon get more parts

and the dancing looks better in the ot8 version, their moves are on point and more synchronized, whereas this one feels sloppy

Jessica sounds good on this, especially the high note. The song is still fairly parted between the members, idk why SM had wait until then to part evenly the lines.
I'm one of the few who enjoys cmiyc lol (although it's not a good Soshi single) so this doesn't change much for me. I'm glad I have seen it though (rip OT9). Somehow the dance looks messier? Or not as sharp. Must have something to do with the editing, looks unfinished.

Because OT9 stopped caring at that point, but OT8 probably scrambled and realized that they better look sharp bc they are down a member. Also, they probably had more time to practice too.

I think the way the lines were distributed the second time made the song more cohesive--if they have Jessica why would they only give her a couple random parts instead of using her better? It really didn't matter that she wasn't there tbh. Song is still subpar, and the dancing here is worse for everyone, but I liked seeing all 9 together. Jessica looked good. Sigh. :(

LOL. I love how I was pretty much right in guessing which parts of the song would have been hers.
Still think the song sucks but I love the choreography, especially as 9. I can't with people saying Jessica wouldn't have lasted with this dance when she is dancing just fine. I can name a few moments where other members half-assed everything but they are not being called out so whatever.

Just when I thought I had accepted OT8 as a thing, this happens. Damn, I don't care how cheesy this sounds but I will definitely miss her during their comeback and it will never be the same for me. I followed them even before their debut and never thought there would be a time when one of them would leave prematurely.

no, I agree. I think if they had used Jessica better in this one it may have made a big difference, but Taeyeon's high note is comparable if not better than Jessica's anyways. So other than how nice it is to see Jessica/hear her voice, I think the ot8 version seemed more balanced.
