LOVELYZ'S JISOO TO DEBUT?

Jisoo sparked speculations of her possible return with girl group Lovelyz after a recent sighting by fans.

On June 17th, Jisoo was spotted leaving Woollim Entertainment’s agency building together with some members of Lovelyz, immediately starting speculations if her return is on the works. In a video posted by a fan through her Instagram account, the member was seen quietly making her way out with the rest of the members, looking back when she was called and recognized.



The post was a hot topic on various social networking sites as it talked about the possibility of her finally making her debut with Lovelyz.
It can be recalled that back in May, Woollim Entertainment remained undecided with Jisoo’s return following the closure of her case. It was stated, then, that her health and recovery was their priority as she continued treatment to the trauma caused by the incident.
Due to the incident, Jisoo was unable to join Lovelyz in their debut and follow-up promotions last year.

The last I remember about the whole scandal was that nothing could be confirmed and most of the accusers turned out to be fake??? If she really didn't do any of the disgusting crap she was accused of, I hope she gets to debut soon. I don't follow any Lovelyz stans on Twitter, so I haven't heard any rumors (besides this article).

i think i remember reading about how the accusers were fake and jisoo was the victim the whole time - but the whole ending/closing of the case was much quieter, not a lot of people were aware of it, and tbh i didn't even hear about it until i saw it on one of the threads on some post here

Assuming you're talking about the "jisooluv" Twitter user...yes and no. They first claimed they were a victim, then not a victim and that they were just spreading info, and then that they were a victim again and they were going to talk to the police (they never went). Now they don't exist anymore.

Well, they "never went" if you believe that they were a victim. Someone DID go in, and if it was that person, the police said they claimed that they weren't a victim and that they were just spreading information they heard. So...

They don't exist anymore because the account was deleted. The person behind that account was 100% anonymous and now they've disappeared into the ether.

I don't see Woolim putting her back in the group while the case being still opened/unsured. So I guess we'll have news of the case pretty soon, or a least some recap. Last time I read about it, the person who posted everything in the beginning wasn't found yet.
I really can't understand how can anyone spread a rumor so bad about someone who turns out to be innocent? Like my mind can't imagine how. That's evil.

Thanks, I never read the final update on the story. Than I'm glad that it seems she'll debut finally. Hopefully Woolim will handle this better than Tablo's.
I never heard about this either... I remember Rania's debut song and, that's it. This is completely crazy, the "fan" has a serious problem... has she be judged for what she has done to Rania??
I always kinda thought that crazy "fans" were drawn to a group after debut (and I realize that they can be so dangerous, following cars at full speed or poisoning bottles of water) but what puzzle me even more here, is that Lovelyz hadn't even debuted. I'm not saying that once the group has debuted, crazy behaviour can happen - no, that's entirely wrong and I wished Korea had a more respectful fan culture - but this Jisooluv apparently randomly picked a girl that was just about to debut, with the goal to destroy her life? That's not fan entitlement (that I condemn just as much), that's something completely different, and my mind can't comprehend this. I can somehow get what's behind fan entitlement (and it's terrifying) but this??? Idk.

Tl;dr for people not caught up on the case: two people were convicted and fined, an adult and a teenager, and the police investigated the original rumors and determined they were false. The whole thing started because someone spread a rumor that she was a lesbian and others dogpiled all the other fake stuff (she's a rapist, animal abuser, iljin, sasaeng, etc) on top of that.

Unfortunately, because of the whole "where there's smoke there's fire" fallacy, people will still believe there's a modicum of truth to all of it even though there's been past cases (hi, Tablo) where yeah, people WILL make up horrible shit about someone they don't know for the sake of it.

Didn't it turn out that all of those accusations were made up? I remember that she even had to be hospitalised, because this whole thing made her ill.
If she really didn't do any of those horrible things, she was accused of, then it's just fair that she gets to debut.

OP, to embed instagram posts,don't use their embed code.Copy/poaste the url into the lj embed media window ( the one used for youtube videos).
I hope things work out for her.I do think Woolim will hold off on her rejoining until they can mediaplay about her innocence,otherwise it won't look good for the rest of the group

Even if the scandal was fake, she took a huge amount of time to "recover" from it, I don't think she could handle being an idol. (unless it was all a setup so she can go solo)

i'm not even sure what to think about this case tbh. idk who's saying the truth or whatnot. i kind of didn't pay attention after the initial investigations and this case is really messed up. almost everything that was said back then sounds like the truth and now it turns out it's not? ahhh, i don't know.
if she's really innocent, i can't help but side-eye woolim for not clearing up her image. they just pretended she did not exist for a long time i already forgot about her?? if they're trying to bury the scandal so they made her rest, what is there to bury when they could use the public's sympathy to further clear up misunderstandings? everybody hated her back then ofc the psychological damage.
