My main issue with Mamamoo is they have potential but their songs always lack a little something- some kind of umf production wise- I hope this album will finally let the girls shine and give them a real bop
Mte! Their singing and showmanship is outstanding, but except for Ah Oop and maybe Piano Man I haven't really gotten into their music yet, at least their stuff hasn't made it to my mp3 player yet. I hope they get more good stuff soon! You know what I want? I want them to do a cover of "Please Mr Postman". That's all I want from life.
"No No No" has single written all over it. "Freakin' Shoes" sounds like a natural progression of the Mamamoo we know and love. "Um Oh..." seems to definitely be an attempt to widen their fanbase a little, for better or worse, and that's fair enough. I'd agree that it doesn't sound anything like the strongest thing on there, though. But then I'm taking that from a fancam and some short clips, so things may change.
Either way, the MV's going to be something else, hopefully that helps to get some ppl onboard too.
Um Oh Ah Yeh sounds like fun, and it's different enough from the image everyone is used to from Mamamoo without completely changing their image drastically. This should be fun, good luck mamamoo!
Love it. All of it. I know it's unlikely but I'd like to see them perform all these songs on the music shows at some point. Has anyone noticed in some of the promo pics Hwasa looks like Yubin from Wonder Girls a little? It's weird but I think it's the hairstyle.
'Freaking shoes' and 'Ahh! Oop!' sound like such pearls! I'm not really convinced by 'Um Oh Ah Yeh' though. Not because it doesn't sound nice, but because it doesn't really fit in with the idea I have of Mamamoo's sonority... It sounds way too cutesy, a bit like - dare I say it - something APink could release.
