According to officials from the advertising industry, idol group BTOB member Yook SungJae are receiving love calls from IT, confectionary beauty, fashion and many other industries. It was reported that Yook SungJae’s representatives are considering it in a positive manner. Currently, they are in talks of sealing deals for a few advertisements.

A representative of the industry spoke with Xport News, “Yook SungJae is the new rising star in drama and variety. In particular, he receives string interests from females in their teens and 20s, thus, there are many love calls from indusrey that targets this segment.” He also added that Yook SungJae has a overall positive vibe, thus adding to his potential.

Cube Entertainment responded, “It is true that Yook SungJae who is active in various fields, is receiving many CF proposals. As Yook SungJae is a person who is talented in many aspects, there’s a huge responses from the advertising industry. From the point of view of the company, it is a happy news.”

seems like their comeback got pushed to july you know...
maybe cube is trying to do something so that they would avoid all big acts, comeback long enough after snsd etc wins triple crown etc.
they already finished recordings for the album and started learning the choreo too, half of them changed hair too

august would be best or sept really by the sounds of it ): they're in such a good position now they even did surprisingly well imo w their last comeback and it would be such a shame if they were overshadowed at this crucial time

but if we're looking on the bright side more people probably know of them now or at least when they're watching music shows for other acts they'll recognise sungjae and perhaps there'll be a further boost in fans, then they'd just need to comeback relatively soon again to keep up the hype, i hope cube doesn't mess up

hyuna is already scheduled for august, they will go before her for sure... there were articles on how the title track will be a dance song etc but without defenite date

there's a sudden boost in fans, but those are sungjae' personal stans who can't comprehend he's not his drama character irl. for example they are the ones leaving shit-stirring comments in wgm articles, giving melodies undeserved bad name. veteran fans are asking them to calm down as majority of them just jumped on trend bandwagon, without any intention of actively supporting btob as whole. all those new fans are now calling melofies unwelcoming and other stuff... idk anymore
melodies are a nice fandom, they have their bad moments but everyone does. i'm happy for the fact there are new fans but if they cause problems... they can leave :p

mm... idk much about fandom dynamics. i heard about all the people joining the fancafe though! that sounds good. i just hope this next song is good enough to bring in people on the fence. if people like sungjae as a person i'm sure they could like btob as a whole. in the first place i think they're a little different to a lot of boy groups, i'm a girl group stan and they're the only boy group i really consider myself a fan of but they're my ult faves. they just have such a great group dynamic, they're impossible not to love once you see them, even just on stage.

when i started stanning btob, i was mostly ilhoon's personal stan but the more i watched their variety shows and i general got to know them, i naturally became a melody as they are so likeable and genuine. many groups play the "never ending friendship" card but btob doesn't do that as much and even so you can feel they really like each other and have good relationship. eunkwang is a good leader, he sometimes feels clueless how to handle so many crazy people at once but somehow he does it really well. the only time btob has attitude controversy was back in 2013 when g.na won first place and ilhoon thanked btob members in a speech :p sungjae is getting humbler and humbler the more his popularity grows.

they do feel different than other boy groups. i'm person who quickly gets bored and i don't need much time to completely lose interest, but i've been a btob stan for almost three years and i've stick to them despite all odds.

i have a theory if btob hit big in 2013 along other rookies like exo, both the fandom and members wouldn't be the way they are now. when melodies united to help out btob win with that christmas song and it didn't worked out, they all left apologetical posts on sns and fancafe :(  not so long ago pann was full of post "the reason why btob isn't popular" and they were harmful af. like half of them were blaiming members for lacking, wtf.

yeah, i liked minhyuk most at first but i really can't pick a fave any more. they so do, i just want them to be happy and friends more than i even want them to be a group and perform. they all have hearts of gold, i really believe that. btob are just very genuine and a bit of a refresher. i'm not the kind of person to be more than a very casual fan of anything and btob's albums were literally the first i ever set out and bought. they just win you over.

ugh. btob not winning just shows how much kpop is luck of the draw. so much of it is just to do with the company you're from. i really really just want them to enjoy themselves and be happy with what they're doing. they've proven they deserve that win a thousand times over whether they get it or not, just fingers crossed.

same, i even bought their japanese albums :') they are all precious and i think they will last a really long time as a group. even their interviews give out good vibe. there are groups that have some members that everyone knows are douches but at least with btob you can be sure they are all decent human beings.

it's obvious that with sungjae's popularity btob maybe will be able to get relevant but i'm seriously worried at what song they will be promoting. i like their bsides and i find all their title tracks nice, but honesly you're so fly was for example a terrible choice. btob albums tend to have a track that could be a great follow up like beep had hello but they had no time for more promo :/

yeah i hope they won't be a victim to something like that ;__; it's great when they promote ballads too because theirs are actually good (esp when they take part in composing them!!!) and they get to show their talent. wow was perfect because it was such a great, catchy song and they got to be themselves with it and improvise a bit. i honestly like beep beep and ysf quite a lot but they're too casual and flimsy and without that kick wow had. thriller on the other hand had the kick (i love it idk why a lot of people don't) but the concept was too serious. idk why cube's having such trouble finding that balance again :\

obvious bias aside, i think he is. sungjae was bit awkward in first major role in tvn drama last year, but honestly speaking, he improved and his acting has gotten more natural. he does well even in rather emotional scenes. nam joo hyuk feels lacking at times, sungjae for example has broader range of facial expressions and he seems to know how to use them properly. while it's sometimes hard to say what nam joo hyuk's character is really feeling as he's more stiff?
this comparison is pretty harsh, i know, and i guess biased too, but sungjae is defenitely promising. the real star of the drama is kim so hyun playing two characters and nailing it but sungjae's too is one of the reasons this drama is watchable.
