aa i got it. no no, i just meant that exols on tumblr were pissed at mnet for whatever they were doing past week. since in the end bb won m countdown i thought exo winning again, but this time at music bank will appease exols and they'll stop dragging the topic. I could've worded it better though :P

Do you know anything about the "rigging" thing? I don't know what the heck was going on, something about Chinese VIPs and Mnet Japan. What I know is just that even without those extra points BB would've won anyway, only with a smaller margin.

what i've heard about it is that the mnet japan voting poll didn't close at the deadline and when chinese vips found out about it, they used vpn to go vote on there and thus the voting figures changed. however mnet has said that they only counted the results which was before the deadline and not after.

Ahh, thanks! That's what I read too, that Mnet only counted up until the deadline. I just misunderstood it to mean the margin would be smaller, when actually the total points broadcasted were correct.

1 it was started by MBC because their other show music core had stopped doing their own chart. Then I think two years ago music core brought it back which just pushed show champion even more out of relevancy


2 music core have more clout


3 most mid to top-tier groups do not give a damn about show champion. It is mostly considered a show for nugus. It's also not counted for when counting triple crowns.

fun fact nobody gave a damn about mcountdown before the fact that music core were dumb enough to stop dong their own charts and mnet kept doing kept doing these huge year end awards.

Well the only category EXO had more points than BB is for physical album sales and everyone knows EXO trumps BB there, although I didn't expect it to be that huge of a difference in terms of actual points. I wonder how they calculate, do they use percentages or something?

If I'm not mistaken they use a total of 100000 points and give them in a relative way, not using percentages like other shows. For example physical sales only count 10% so it should be 1000 points at most like in other shows, but in Music Bank it's 10% out of the total points reserved for that category (ie: if the points reserved for that category are 70000, 10% out 70000 is 7000 points indeed). Idk if I'm explaining myself well. MuBank's charting system is kinda complicated.

I don't know about the whole of SM bcs f(SHINee) are the only groups I listen to on a regular basis but I'd say in terms of title tracks f(x) >> SHINee and with B-sides it's SHINee > f(x). But yeah both are the most talented/well-rounded groups in SM.
