Models, Menswear, and More: Summer Style Spotting

Happy summer, everyone! The hot weather is here to stay and everyone is dressing accordingly. Here's a quick visual run-down of what we're seeing in Seoul's most fashionable neighborhoods.

The perennial menswear trend of summer suiting constructed of lightweight fabrics like linen and seersucker is out, but there's a bit of a twist this year! A common casual menswear silhouette seems to be shorts + long sleeved jackets or tops and we've seen this variation out in formally tailored suit jackets and shorts as well!

Women are wearing a lot of sets - skirts and tops, shorts, and tops, pants, and tops, in prints and patterns with matching accessories. Flowy and lightweight skirts and sundresses have returned, and bold patterns and prints are also found there. Finally, almost everyone has a hat on to protect against the sun - boaters are especially popular. You'd probably find sunblock in everyone's purses or pockets if you asked, too.

The only outfit I can see a majority of girls wearing in Korea from this set, is the t-shirt and long skirt. It's cute and easy. I put together many an outfit like it last summer when I was in Korea.

Before I left a month ago it seemed that jean skirts were coming back into fashion there too.

I feel like to see the real fashion trends or whatever you gotta live in Seoul (and be on the look-out). Seeing fashion forward stuff in Daejeon was not common.

That girl wearing the maxi skirt + shirt combo is qt! I wore that a lot during my summer too lol
