i thought i'd give this a go seeing as how omona fawns all over him & thinks the sun shines out of his ass, but i was... let's just say, unimpressed, lol. there's no... oomph, no pizazz, no wow factor. looked up some prior stuff of his... nahhhh man, there's nothing there. maybe i'm looking up the wrong thing(s), but wow@this basicness, tbqh.

but i might just be "bitter" (bc anytime one has a differing opinion they're "bitter" or w/e dontcha know... lawlz)

I'm p sure most people (rightly) fawn over him because he is an actual sweetheart in a sea of douchebags and is/was the leader of an iconic group, not his musical abilities tbh. altho i still think he can sing/dance circles around most up-and-comers.

Most people fawn over him because:

1. He fits their ideal look for a guy plus SME ALWAYS marketed him as the handsome manly one (not saying that he is not - since some people may think he is actually manly looking or handsome)
-Personally in this case I don't really get it because their are idols like Rain/Bi, 2PM etc. out there who are actually super manly umph

2. They have bought into the SME superior marketing ploy that sells him as (and has completed convinced people that) he is an alpha male, the best leader in kpop, the kindest saint to walk this Earth.
(Whereas the fact is that most kpop idols probably don't even show their 'real selves' to the public - EVERYTHING is an image they sell and some people get convinced it is there actual 100% real persona).
-Also omona is stupid for hating on a million other kpop idols especially for things they say on variety because those shows are usually hell-of-a scripted
-I am not hating on Yunho per say but I always roll my eyes at people who become fans of others just because they are 'saints' with a very good and usually scripted public image (this not only happens with Yunho but other idols too).
There are no perfect people out there - everyone has flaws. But, idk I guess some idols are too scared to show their flaws :/

3. As long as people think someone is handsome they will LOVE their music because they judge it through stan glasses
-Case in point: Jang Geun Suk

I don't say he doesn't deserve fans - of course he does. He has had a very successful career. He is VERY good at keeping to his scripted image at all times - meaning that he is camera ready and prepared all the time. This means that he works really hard. And more than anything else he has the support of a really big company - even when they were five he was obviously a company favorite so he got a lot of support. (Other company favorites are Yoona, Boa, Kangta, Taeyeon, Sulli, etc. for reference.)
And more than anything else he is one of the few rare idols who has actual stage presence.

his stage presence is no joke, I've seen people who are Changmin biased (die hard ones) and swore they couldn't take their eyes off him even when Changmin was there

also he sometimes when he hangs out at his friend's coffee shop, he asks fans politely to not take his pictures, because its his free time, and if they don't stop he just leaves. that's the more "angry" he gets in public

he's always in control of his actions and that's impressive with his hectic life to be able to do that

Honestly I am sad... this was a disappointment. Something about this felt off, not quite what I was expecting. Idk it doesn't seem like Yunho? It is not sitting well with me wish sucks cause this is the last stuff we are gonna get from him before he enlists.
