Hello. It's been a long time since I've greeted you. Since the release of the single 'Hollywood', I saw an internet article that said, ''Hollywood' appears to be gift to pacify those who've waited for the 3rd album for so long they're about to explode with anger (paraphrased)'. I'd really like to refute that claim if possible, but. It's true. This song is pretty far from my normal music style, and something close to a struggling attempt to stall for time in this ever-lengthening blank space. In this world flooded with EP's and mini-albums, for my 90's purist self who only loves full-length studio albums, this single was my first and last attempt at a lone event (tn: just one song), one I attempted tearfully, and I had no idea that so many people would be so welcoming towards it. Thank you. There's lots of things I want to say about the song and MV, as well as many episodes that happened, but to save this post getting unnecessarily long, I will talk about those next time. Thank you very much again.

(I'D BEEN WAITING FOR HIS THIRD ALBUM FOR SO LONG can't believe I missed this. sounds like he's going through a tough time working on the new album. in any case he shouldn't make any apologies for this song - it's a little different from his normal style, like he says (vaaaaguely comparable in sound to Fling; Fig From France if i were to pick sth out of his discography, but rly not even), but possibly one of my fave tracks of his to date...!!)

ahh i love the black skirts. hollywood is a really nice song but his message is too sweet. tbh i rly hate when fans push artists to release new music especially since after they get what they want they usually complain about it.....but to see that it was well received it great! it's not my fav from them (i think my fav might still be antifreeze??) but i like the sound a lot

When my friend and I saw this, we basically decided it was actually a horribly tragic YA novel and narrated the MV as such. I like the song, though.
