Park Yong-ha to hold Hawaii concert

Hallyu star Park Yong-ha will hold a concert in Hawaii for the second time next month, according to his agency on Tuesday.
"The concert will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center on October 17 in time with 'Yong-ha Day' which is three days prior to it," said YONA Entertainment. Fans in the state celebrate every October 14 which is the day the actor debuted.
Many people in the United States, Korea, Japan and Taiwan are also inquring about his concert, not promoted only in Hawaii but also Los Angeles and Las Vegas through KBFD TV, YONA explained.
"I am excited just thinking about holding a concert in Hawaii for the first time in three years. I'm preparing hard for it so I hope you're looking forward to it," Park was quoted as saying.
Park had given his first performance three years ago on the 13th anniversary of his debut, making him the first Korean celebrity to hold a concert in Hawaii.
The 32-year-old singer and actor has led on a particularly successful singing career in Japan since rising to stardom after starring alongside other top Hallyu stars Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo in 2002 hit TV series "Winter Sonata".
He has placed several albums within the top 10 on the Oricon charts, won four consecutive Japan Gold Disc Awards and is the second Korean singer to have held a concert at the prestigious Budokan Hall in Tokyo.
In Japan, reruns of TV series "On Air" and "The Slingshot", both starring Park, are set to air later this year and in early October, respectively.
