SM suing Krishan for ~illegal activities~

SM Entertainment has made a new statement in regards to Kris and Luhan for continuing their activities in China after leaving EXO.
On May 20th, SM Entertainment stated, “As the agency of EXO members Luhan and Kris (Wu Yifan), we have filed a lawsuit against Luhan and the two Chinese company who have used Luhan as their product models. Our legal action was conducted through the Chinese court and adheres to contract infringement. It was officially accepted on May 18th through Beijing People’s Court.”
SM Entertainment also stated, “The contracts between SM and Luhan as well as Kris are effective until the court makes their final verdict on the matter and need to be kept. Any profitable action including advertisement modelling and taking part in the filming of a movie clearly goes against the contract, and we plan to have those involved take responsibility for their actions.”
After departing from EXO, both Kris and Luhan have been busy with acting and filming commercials in Mainland China. Just a couple of days ago, the Seoul Central District Court ordered a compulsory mediation between the two and SM Entertainment to settle the ongoing legal battle.

I wonder why they're super focused on suing just Luhan? seems strange especially since yixing was mentioning luhan left and right during his chinese interviews. Other articles mentioned that the companies SM are suing are a technology company in beijing and a cosmetic company in shanghai...so KanS and CavyTech? not Baidu Maps I assume lol

I might be missing some details, since I'm not following this too closely, but how is SM wrong for this? Filing for something doesn't mean it happened until there is a final verdict. They're under SM and should have to go through the process.

I'm 90% certain they both have some kind of injunction/loophole that allows them to keep promoting in China becase I doutb companies (especially big ones like Adidas and Lancome) would sign on endorsers who weren't legally contractable, that is way too big of a risk.But why does SM keep goign after only Luhan, hmm?
Anyways I doubt this will affect either of them especially Kris considering he's going about his day with nary a care in the world

SM probably didn't dare to mess with huayi brothers (i mean at this point it is pretty obvious that he is connected to huayi in one way or another) so they are going after luhan instead.

SM is suing Kans and Daling. And isn't it interesting how they're only suing these two companies? I mean Baidu has been openly supporting Luhan since he went back and yet not a peep from SM regarding that. How about L'oreal, Puma, Oppo, YiLi? How about Meilishuo that, for a lack of a better word, dumped SM/Exo-M the first chance they had and hired Luhan to be the new endorser? Are these not endorsements that so greatly tarnishes the contract?

The last lawsuit against Luhan/Kans that SM made a big fuss about turned out to be for copyrights issue yet SM huffed and puffed about it like it was something bigger. meh.


Also Kris really should do something about that nasty habit of SM to keep unnecessarily involving his name in matters that doesn't have anything to do with him.

Ahh I see I didn't know which tech company they were referring to at all. The Meilishuo situation was most hilarious to me omg. Wasn't it said that the owners wife or a very high executive was a huge fan of luhan and they only signed exo m because of him? Haha it's just so obvious now.
And seriously, I just don't see why they keep bringing up kris lmao... It's like they want to remind everyone that they could be suing kris next lolol. But I'd like to see them try and sue Lancôme, loreal, puma, Adidas, baidu, tonyi, etc etc etc. lets see how many lawsuits sm can afford heh

I get SM suing Kans for copyright infringement, but suing Daling too? On what grounds? That they're using Luhan's face? Lol if that's the case, it's funny how selective they are. If you're going to do some, might as well do them all SM. Also I like how they keep mentioning Kris but have yet to actually do something against him.
