Synopsis: Although humans and vampires signed a peace treaty 200 years ago, there is still much misunderstanding and animosity between the two groups of citizens in modern society. Out of fear of discrimination, Baek Ma Ri (Kim Seol Hyun) has been forced to move around a lot and hide her true identity as a vampire. Although she just wants to settle down in a new city and lead a quiet life, her desire to live anonymously is foiled when she catches the attention of Jung Jae Min (Yeo Jin Goo), the most popular boy at her new high school. And when Ma Ri accidentally bites Jae Min’s neck, both their lives will never be the same again… “Orange Marmalade” is based on a webtoon by the same title.

I really like it so far! They've made small changes from the webtoon that I think will be good - like the mysterious Vampire Control System - so yay!

i liked the first two episodes, there was fun moments and seolhyun is doing good so far i think jingoo and her will work fine together. Jonghyun's acting is really irritating tho

who does he play, the other vampire transfer student? If that's him then ia his acting is awk, the troll persona is not as smooth as it should be.

(Also he looks way too old for high school. Maybe not a problem if your costar is Lee Min Ho, but next to Yeo Jin Gu, it's really obvious. Unless vampires get eyebags too)

I really like the vamp family, they're so cute, especially the dad and his package sealing machine for 'tomato juice'. It's an interesting setting, and Yeo Jin-gu is killing it as usual tho I had to look away during the shower scene because my brain still computes him as a kid and it feels wrong to look at him half-naked lol. And Song Jong-ho, I love him as the vamp teacher.

The neck kiss scenes were hot, but I found Seolhyun and the other vampire dude rather insipid. She has p much the same expression throughout all her scenes, is the webtoon character like that too? (it's weird for a character with so much going on inside to come across as so bland) And he was, idk, not that good - he has the smirk and the look but needs to make the posturing look more like the character's posturing and not him posturing, if that makes sense. I guess they can get better, hopefully they will.

(also the mean girl's lip tint looks kind of blood-like lol)

Seolhyun is not doing a bad job at all, but in her scenes with Yeo Jin Goo she kind of fades.

I liked the start and have never read the webtoon. The spoilers on the timed comment stream on viki are so annoying.I usually enjoy reading the comments,it sucks :(

For fantasy (fusion) or sf shows I really enjoy to see the world building, I hope there will be many things shown which differ to "our" world.

I loved the first two episodes and since I like spoiling myself I went to read the webtoon.
It was some of the most boring, two dimensional and uninspired stuff I've read in a long time. The drama can only do better I already like the creative freedom additions.

I've only seen clips so far (I've read a good chunk of the webtoon so I'm not spoiling myself coming here) but a big lol at people (not here obviously but in other sites) who legit think the singing at the end of episode 1 was Seolhyun. Voice is nothing like hers and she wishes she could sing like that, her being casted when Mari being a good singer is kinda vital will always puzzle me.

The scene of Mari kissing Jaemin's neck was cute but funnier in the webtoon :(

[edit] Watched both episodes now. Thank goodness they're only 45 minutes, I hate the 1 hour episodes kdramas usually do esp. since a lot of it is just filler.

Not terribad but... a big a let down from the webtoon. Some changes are alright/good, the rest was just no. I know k-dramas suck at adapting j-dramas/manga but do they usually do a meh job at adapting their own manhwa/webtoons too? There's a lot of good things about the series besides the romance but this adaptation seems to have pushed them aside just to focus on the love triangle and other filler.

I like drama-Jaemin better though, webtoon-Jaemin annoyed me but he's tolerable here and YJG's acting shines.
Han Shi Hoo's interview was pretty well done for Jonghyun's standards but he went back to being awkward again afterward, character's otherwise the same.
I don't like the drama's portrayal of Mari so far, she was aloof but endearing in the webtoon while here she just comes across as very, very dull (idk how much of that is Seolhyun and how much of that is the directing so I won't point fingers yet).
Not a terrible cast considering I thought the above two would be a meh choice of FNC 1+1 packaging, but Yeo Jingoo's obviously carrying this drama. But bad or good acting, it's the handling of the story/plot that gets to me the most.
To end on a happy note, OST's pretty great :3

so i'm happy the drama divert from the webtoon and only retains the basic elements
