plot:
Lee Eun-bi lives at the orphanage Love's House in Tongyeong, South Gyeongsang Province, where younger residents look up to her as a mother figure. They don't know that she's friendless at her school and viciously bullied by a posse of mean girls led by Kang So-young, while teachers turn a blind eye.
On the other hand, Go Eun-byul is the most popular girl at Segang High School, the most prestigious private high school in Seoul's Gangnam District. Eun-byul's best friends are Cha Song-joo and Lee Shi-jin, and she shares a mutual attraction with Han Yi-an, the school's star swimmer. But Eun-byul has secrets, including one involving a girl named Jung Soo-in.
Eun-bi and Eun-byul look exactly alike, but only Eun-byul is aware of the other's existence.
One day, on a school field trip to Tongyeong, Eun-byul mysteriously disappears. At the same time, Eun-bi gets unjustly expelled from her school and transfers to Segang. Injured and amnesic, Eun-Bi is mistaken for her doppelgänger Eun-Byul, she starts living the latter's charmed life unaware of the secrets the prestigious school held.

Date: 2015-05-15 03:21 pm (UTC)I just binge watched them all last night (I wasn't interested in the plot at first so I'd just ignored the show). I am dumb as hell. I'm really enjoying it--kim so hyun is really amazing, and I'm loving the two boys. Sungjae is something else though, I was fully prepared to like but dismiss him as second lead, but by that first saucy smirk I was done. Sigh.
I don't know how I feel about the shipping, but I do think that if Eun Byul is still alive (but in hiding?) that she comes back and gets with Joo Hyuk, and then Eun Bi and Sungjae ride off into the sunset. I like Nam Joo Hyuk so much, but it really is Eun Byul that he's in love with.
Also, I cannot with the level of evil that is So Young. What in the fresh hell is her deal.

Date: 2015-05-16 05:12 am (UTC)I've been holding out hope that Eun Byul is alive because Yi An doesn't match Eun Bi as well as TK - they are like two lost souls who have a tacit understanding, but also because of the mutual crush between Yi An and Eun Byul.
I'm glad this show came right when Angry Mom ended, but am slightly wary that this drama will be a mess or lose its original direction.

I know there's more to the story aside from the ship going on, but Eunbi-Taegwang scenes are the highlight of my daily life. I'm pretty sure I've watched episode 6 at least five times now. The cheesy bit Taegwang said at the end of episode 6 still gets to me, because it means he accepts Eunbi as Eunbi, no judgments, no conditions. AHHHHH

Date: 2015-05-16 07:34 pm (UTC)The bully is really getting on my nerves. I hope she doesn't get a redemption arc, because she just doesn't deserve it imo. Like, she was responsible for someone's death and it didn't affect her at all, emotionally I mean. That's just sociopathic behavior.
Yes to Eun Bi sticking up for herself tho and I'm glad that she has so many people who have her back now, even if they don't know who she really is. Her mom also seems like a no nonsense kind of lady.
I'm kind of disappointed with the mom tho. The way they're living rn is super unhealthy for both of them. It would've been better if she'd just adopted Eun bi and mourned Eun Byul properly.
