To be honest, although they are both my fav, I never really got the vibe that JB and Jr were best friends even during JJP era. They both seemed closer to their dancers than they are with each other. But I do think they get along well and have an understanding how they both complement each other and in a sense, understand each other well. Plus, they're both very independent pple and seem to appreciate their alone time more.

I think they have gotten closer since JJ Project, JB said Jr. is not as moody anymore, and I noticed he calmed down and got more serious while jB loosened up and started enjoying the moment more.

Well, they have been put together wayyy before JJP was conceptualised (they were performing together for one of the JYP audition showcase?). So these two definitely have a long history together which makes them pretty close I guess but that doesn't necessarily translates to being best friends.

Strange, I remembered Jr saying JB doesn't get angry as easily as before too. So..haha they both have their emotional moments.

They weren't best friends during JJP days because they seemed to have their own group of trainee friends, even though they performed together for their audition showcase and used to train together in order to debut (along with MONSTA X's Shownu).

However, I think they are undoubtedly really close now. I think the best way to describe them would be "brothers". Jr. has said many times that JB is his hyung in every way, and that he learns by watching him. It makes sense, since JB tends to act like an older brother towards the members, with the exception of Mark.
