Someone on the other post mentioned how it's insensitive given the timing and things happening in the US rn so I'm glad this MV had less to do with police brutality and more to do with prison shenanigans (I swear they str8 up just took the concept from the team dance challenge).
this song is much better than No Exit but Jooheon's rap is garbage and I.M deserves more shots in the MV. everything else was fine though. the choreo is sick in the live performance, super fun.
i mean, yeah the concept of the mv is an absolute mess (and cringeworthy), but also the matchy matchy styling was distracting. like, that is a lot of off-white...
I feel like this whole concept here is 2-3 years too late, I've already saw too much of those faux hep-hap things. It's like they didn't show me anything fresh/new - just messed up with long lived trends in a bad way. I won't lie, I fucking love these hot ass messes. As expected - not even choreo can keep the shirt on Wonho. I've rewatched this like 3 times and every time I find something new to lol over. Wonho is my fave, so his stupid face doing stupid things is giving me life, but WHOA the styling on Hyungwon for after their "escape" is unreal. He looks better than I've ever seen him - tbh they all do. I like that it's kind of a giant mess that makes no sense a little bit because that's kind of them? They're all ~hard, but really they're pretty much the biggest dorks. I don't know why I'm so fucking invested in this group. I can't stopppp.
As far as the song: Needs more everyone but Jooheon, though. And maybe less random Shownu dance break? idk. I.M killed it and the live choreo of this is pretty awesome. The chorus/hook is growing on me.
I'm glad the MV went a different way than the teaser, but I'm still not feeling this. The MV was all over the place, and the styling was bleh. Maybe they'll do a dance version...bc the song wasn't anything special for me either.
The song is OK. Someone had problems editing this MV or Monsta members don't know how to lipsynch. Shownu looks great. Jooheon obviously gets the spotlight in this MV.

if you ask me any group that's formed as a result of a survival show is bound to create insane fans, not only do they have more time to stew but the events of the show make them that much more entitled and dedicated.

The overuse of the hip hop concept is tiring because there isn't anything new being done to make it stand out and different. This is like BTS's no more dream, only that they shot it in a different neighborhood.
I am here for the dude in the police uniform. Shownu. And that means a lot since my hate for police has reached an all time high, tbh. AND he's legal. I'll take him, thank you very much. Like I can't even praise or critique anything in this video/song because I got what I needed out of it from those few seconds. I'm just going to fast-foward to his parts in the performances.
But I am here for people finally calling out the redundancy of all these hip hop themed boy groups. They are all interchangeable. And I mean ALL of them.
The song is OK but I feel like there's way too much going on in the actual track itself and it detracts from the vocals/rapping (which was possibly done on purpose? idk.) Kind of lackluster; it's not a terrible song but I liked No Exit or No Mercy or whatever it was better.
