*minho voice* shinee's back?

in the midst of anticipation of shinee's upcoming fourth world tour (swiv) rumors have been afloat for weeks that their comeback is on the horizon. of course, fans and otherwise were a bit thrown off by the possibility of this, what, with virtually every sm group "rumored" to be making comebacks in may / early june as well. no need to fret any longer though because *drum roll* the now comeback is now as confirmed as it can be without an actual confirmation.

onho filming for "abonormal summit" (may 4th)

jongtaekey filming for "hello counselor" (may 10th)

with the recording of "hello counselor" has come speculation by korean news sources that their comeback is "possible", aka: it's basically as close as you can be to confirmed without actually confirming it. why so? sm only sends their artists / groups to participate in recordings of the show either right before or during promotional cycles. (this will be the fourth time that shinee has guested as a group, though never a full group, not including appearances by members with subgroups and during solo promotions.)

along with this, there is also confirmation that shinee will be featured on the cover of the june issue of "the celebrity" magazine, with a full pictorial / interview, which is set to be released sometime in the next week in a half. whisperings have also been far and wide of the group participating in other photoshoots (for unknown magazines) and potentially having prerecorded appearances on other variety shows (such as "weekly idol"), and fandom wide speculation of a potential showcase on may 18th at sm's coex atrium after sm's official twitter posted a notice early on may 10th revealing that the atrium's theatre will be closed on both may 11th (which is persumed to be for boa's showcase) and may 18th to the public. the last half of this paragraph is purely speculation but there's no denying that shinee is, inevitably, the next comeback sm has planned to announce.

the general concensus seems to think that their first teaser will drop somewhere between tonight and the 13th, depending. tonight is probably doubtful because boa's album doesn't come out until tomorrow - the 13th / 14th could be more plausible? considering that sm did the same with red velvet and exo (exo's first teaser dropping about a day and a half after red velvet's album was released). red velvet / m&d also finished up their promotions today so that leaves two slots open for sm on music shows!!!! whatever, it's obviously happening and i'm pumped.

SME probably doesn't expect Boa is going to win. (she only wins like 1 or 2 each comeback and they always put her up against big competition (mainly since she always has a summer comeback)).

At this point I think it's more likely that they're going to comeback the 25-26th. SM usually drop the first teaser / official date 10-12 days before the actual release, so if they drop the first teaser around the 14th, the release is going to be around the 26th. I don't think they're gonna drop the teaser only 4-5 days before, because it's not enough time to create expectation and it'd feel very rushed imo.

And please, be a bop. I'm not here for another awful title track and them underperforming again. I've heard something about them filming what it seemed to be a MV and that it looked Lucky Star-esque but I really hope it's not the case.
