Non-Official SNSD/TTS/Taeyeon Comeback News

Its (not) official! SNSD is confirmed for a June 1 korean comeback with a full 5th album followed by Taeyeon's solo in the fall and TTS in the winter. Currently SNSD are have said to have started shooting for their jacket photos and are completing the final touches to their comeback.

This was uploaded on BeatBurgerJae's instagram and people are speculating its related to taeyeons solo (I dont think it is imo) and apparently people in korea think so to, taeyeon went up the search ranks following the posting of this pic.








Edit: Daum's article is not official apparently so this is a rumor till sm denies/confirms this

this isn't confirmed tho? a similar article was posted last week by the same news source (sports donga) that sm denied. like snsd's obviously in the middle of comeback prep (kyle hanagami mentioned finishing their choreo two weeks ago, i think) but legitimately the only news source to mention this was that one. sm gave no real confirmation / mentioned nothing. like i don't doubt that soshi could be in june / july but i also doubt we're getting anything before the first or second week of june teaser wise - because shinee's inevitably next up.

well, yeah, though this article but this is legitimately the only place that mentioned it. if it'd been confirmed we'd be seeing information coming right from sm / other news sources which we aren't. tbh, i've seen articles like this for months - the only difference between each is that the month changes.

I see I knew that sportsdonga article was fake but sm hasn't denied this one yet and daum was always correct about their comeback dates but in the end I guess it's a rumor then like you said until they confirm/deny smh everyone on twitter was spazzing I thought it was confirmed lol

mte. It's pretty obvious at this point that shinee are the next ones to comeback, so I'd find weird if snsd's comeback is officially confirmed before theirs, but with sm who knows.
also, wasn't taeyeon's solo confirmed to be on the first half of the year?

there's no way shinee isn't next. their seoul concerts are in just a little over a week and taemin confirmed that they're performing new songs there. it's the same exact thing that sm did with exo: revealing new songs before the album is released and exo's album dropped two weeks after their concerts in seoul, so. sm knows what they're doing and they know that the songs will leak (like they did with exo's) via fancam and they know that they'll need to work fast like... ofc they do. they're a business, they know how this sort of thing works. and, on top of that, there's been rumors left and right about shinee filming variety, doing photoshoots and beatburger / shim jae won keeps on posting photos on his instagram that people assume are connected to both their comeback and concert prep. (because he always drops practice photos before a comeback - he did the same with sherlock in 2012.) jonghyun also alluded on blue night that they'd be after exo / before snsd. but, yeah, most people are assuming we'll get teasers sometime next week, right after boa's album drops because that's what sm did with red velvet / exo. (rv's album dropped on march 16th and exo's first teaser was released less than two days later.)

as for taeyeon..., i'm not sure what's going on there, tbh. i've seen people say she was confirmed for the first half of the year and others say that she was confirmed for later in the year. i'm gonna take a shot in the dark and assume that sm's just fitting her into a time slot that works for everyone, which is obviously easier with soloists.

yeah, there are just too many hints (some of them super obvious at this point) indicating that shinee's gonna comeback in the next 2 weeks. there are even some people affirming it's gonna be the 18th (due onew's instagram post that could be read as '5/18' or something) and like you said they've been spotting filming variety, going and coming from the sm building, the beatburger pic, etc...Considering that sm always drops teasers 10~12 days before the single/album is released, i'm pretty sure they're gonna start dropping the next week or even this week if the comeback is really the 18th.

i've seen so many speculations on the dates that my head is starting to spin, tbh. like most are saying sm never crosses over teaser / comeback releases so we won't see anything earlier than may 12th or 13th which i can see being true and, if that's case, a lot of people are thinking the album could be released on may 25th (so, their anni) because it's a monday or may 26th because the 25th is also a national holiday in south korea and no one's for sure on whether or not sm would release an album then. i could see the 18th being true as well but that'd mean a serious time crunch in terms of teaser release like... a lot would have to come out in those four or five days which is why i'm more privy to think their album'll come out closer to the 25th bUT i could be wrong.

Anyway, YES to a full album. I actually quite liked IGAB and I feel like this is really their chance to show that they are still the top girl group. Honestly, I am not here for a CMIYC type of song (although an actual choreography would be nice).

Will still miss Jessica though. I know this sounds old and whiny but her parts really made a lot of SNSD songs my favorites. Ah well, I'm ready to be slayed.

i think taeyeon would do well but so many people are going to give the poor girl hate. it's clear she obviously has anxiety/depression/scopophobia, and she seems affected by what people say on the internet according to heechul. girl needs a break more than anything. i'm tired of seeing tts tbh like they've had two successful promotions, and got a tv show + numerous cfs and magazine pictorials. let the other girls do something, this is probably what 30% of the girls' hate stems from: overexposure. hyoyeon, sooyoung, yuri, and even sunny are all sitting there with talent as well. yoona's already an established actress so she doesn't count.
