First Poster for “Orange Marmalade” Starring Seolhyun and Yeo Jin Goo Released

On May 6, KBS2 showed viewers a glimpse of their upcoming drama “Orange Marmalade” through the release of its first poster.

From what has been revealed about the show so far, it is set in a world where humans and vampires co-exist but vampires are discriminated against, and so some vampires choose to try to hide their true identities.

The poster shows Yeo Jin Goo and AOA‘s Seolhyun riding on a subway together, with Seolhyun leaning in towards his neck. As you might have guessed from the photo, Seolhyun’s character is the vampire in this relationship! Lee Jong Hyun also plays a vampire in the show.

The caption on the poster says “I’m not who you think I am. But I like you… so I’m sorry.”

The show’s first two episodes will be broadcast on May 15, with an episode airing every Friday after that.

I wonder if Seolhyun improved in Gangnam Blues, she was recently nominated for a rookie actress award for her role in it. It was showing for 2 days where I lived so I was thinking of going to see it since it piqued my interest but I was too lazy to even leave the house that time lol.

She's a typical "group face/visual that's pushed a lot for acting regardless of actual skill" idol but otherwise I really can't rank her, I can only deduce that 1) she's improved from Severely (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZJnZD1UbA8) and 2) she's not FNC's worst idol actor (that's Jonghyun lol I'm way more worried about him for this drama). I like actress Seolhyun more than idol Seolhyun anyways so she can act away~ Mina is AOA's true acting queen imo though, I'd rather they push her more :b

Me aside her acting used to receive mixed opinions (non-fan consensus before was "not bad but not good/great", k-netizen comments vary between "nope" and "it's improved/good/better than her singing so why not" and she was graded a "C-" once but idk if the list was accurate (http://kpopkfans.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/grades-of-female-idols-acting-skills.html)) hence why I'm curious about her performance in Gangnam Blues.

Oooh, thanks for that grading link - it seems more legit that the other 'judging idols' acting' story, where Suzy was given top marks, lol.

But the fact that Suzy was given a B, which is pretty generous, and one grade higher than Eunjung - whom I heard is supposed to be pretty good as far as idol actresses are concerned - is suspect.

Looking at a couple of those clips....she's bad. But my opinion's also swayed by the fact that she was sharing scenes with Kang Sora, and it was two years ago, so I'm assuming she's improved.

And you're right, the real joke is them casting Lee Jong-hyun, who was atrocious last time I checked.
I feel sorry for YJG having to carry so much of the weight.

I haven't seen Eunjung but I've also heard pretty good things so I was confused too? Probably the T-ara controversy impact, a lot of people went from "what catchy songs and pretty talented girls!" to "lol those talentless ugly bitches with stupid songs" when it happened :/

She's only done Gangnam Blues since that drama and FNC invests a lot more into her acting than her idol activities so let's hope so hmm, I didn't think she was lead-role ready but we'll see. I feel pretty bad for YJG too, he's done pretty well in the teasers so far.

Sooo a cutesy rom-com True Blood?

Love the expression on Yeo Jin-goo's face - the two of them look good together! I know some of the webtoon fans are bitching that YJG isn't the right fit for his character, but they should be happy a young actor as talented as him is taking this on.

However, I wish they had gotten a better actor than Lee Jong-hyun. I have a feeling they cast him just because he's pale like they did with Gu Hye-sun & Ahn Jae-hyun for Blood.

I'm not sure how they'll stretch the manhwa plot to a 16 eps series - it was a cute and fluffy read but didn't have all that much depth in the resolution. But I'm here for noona-jailbait YJG. My poor heart can't take his crying scenes...
