Tao's Fan-Hosted Birthday Party

EXO’s Tao has made his first public appearance for the first time since the rumors of his withdrawal from the group resurfaced last month.

On May 2, Chinese media outlet Sina Entertainment released an update on Tao’s recent return to the public eye.

The report stated that a birthday party was held in celebration of Tao’s 22ndbirthday, as well as the movie in which he starred, “You Are My Sunshine.” It is said that Tao made his entrance wearing a mask as fans crowded around him.

When asked about his injuries during the event, Tao shared, “I am trying to recover right now.” After watching a video prepared by fans just for him, Tao was unable to hold back his tears as he thanked his fans and expressed: “I am thankful to fans all over the world. I really love you all. I will make sure to fulfill the promises I made to all of you. If you give me some time, I will come back and stand before everyone once again.”

I love Exo, and it's tragic for them that they've lost the Chinese market, but at the same time it's invigorating to see SM treated like a small fry, when they're so used to pushing others around in their home market.

During the fanmeet he asked his fans to give him time and he will comeback. He's still in rehabilitation so what I understood is that he will stand before his fans again as Tao without the exo part.
