Although 2NE1‘s contract remains valid until next year, many are speculating whether or not YG Entertainment and the group will continue to produce music in the future. The group’s leader CL is set to debut in the United States and her advanced success will greatly impact 2NE1’s comeback, reveals the YG founder.

As many have awaited for 2NE1’s comeback, CEO Yang Hyuk Suk stated, “CL’s album work is almost completed to be released in the States. It has consistently been prepared since last year. Promotion in America is a different story to that in Korea. Honestly, we don’t know whether or not this will be successful until we actually try. But in my perspective, CL’s solo promotion is what I prioritize the most at this stage.”

“2NE1’s contract with YG Entertainment is valid until next year. They will most definitely release an album before that. As soon as CL’s solo promotion in America ends, 2NE1 will release a new album. CL’s advanced success in America will impact 2NE1’s comeback direction. If CL’s goes big in America, there is a higher possibility that 2NE1 will stand in American stage as well.”

Currently, CL is preparing for her solo promotion in America set for this coming summer. The diva’s highly anticipated solo activities have been planned along with Scooter Braun, who has helped PSY to step into the American entertainment industry as well.

I really don't like the way they style her hair, it makes her look older. The choobs are on point tho and she looks so happy surrounded by her friends. It's always refreshing to see her hangout with them. She really fits right in with the group.

My queen always being the center of attention the social butterfly and life of the party. I love how Harin has been with her for the past year the Lee sisters' bond is adorable. And it's nice to see Chae with Ji, Kiko, Soojoo, Xin and Soohyuk having fun. Also that clip of her messing with Ji and him being annoyed and after realizing it's her laughing it off and then trying to film her to annoy her back...I've missed this from them, their friendship is really adorable. I also love how Virgil and his team fawn over her, she's so amiable it's impossible to not fall for her charm. And I mean she did basically have a lot in making this brand popular in SK so.


YG can go fuck off and stop putting pressure on her, she's not her to be the CPR for the group, why isn't he saying similar shit about the other girls. It's always CL who is put under pressure to be the pulse of the group fuck that and fuck YG!!!! If anyone genuinely thought 2ne1 can make anything in the states they would have done something about it. USA and UK female groups can't make it properly and YG here dreaming that if CL succeeds he can ship the group there too. This is not 2 for one offer YG, if CL makes it she'll need to stay there working hard to maintain what she achieved not to be a segue for the group to break into the market (not that that's even possible).

I'm going to give YG a break. 2NE1 will comeback after her solo debut no matter what but if she does well in the States there is no reason not to send 2NE1 to do some English promos too.

It'll be during their Japan/Korea comeback anway and when 3 of 4 members speak well.

If anything it would convince YG to do some US concert dates again.
