Star Empire Entertainment Delivers Official Apology to Lee Tae Im and Fans

Yewon’s managing agency, Star Empire Entertainment, released an official statement on the controversy between Lee Tae Im and Yewon.

On March 31, they said, “We would like to send out an official document regarding the conflict that occurred while filming ‘Tutoring Across Generations.’ First of all, we would like to apologize to those who care for Yewon and Lee Tae Im for causing so much trouble.”


“We take on most of the fault for rashly releasing an official statement after depending on only the hearsay from the staff, while failing to receive any accurate facts from Yewon,” they continued. “We apologize for the harm we have caused Yewon and Lee Tae Im by judging this issue based on the atmosphere and failing to professionally take on the issue. We will do our best to treat future sensitive issues with more caution. We will also make sure that Yewon takes this as an opportunity to mature.”

“We hope that you forgive us for sending out such a dated apology and understand our situation with a generous heart. Once again, we send out our deepest apologies to Lee Tae Im and the fans,” Star Empire said.

Earlier, controversy sparked when it was exposed that Lee Tae Im had cursed at Yewon during the filming of “Tutoring Across Generations” on February 24. Though the case was closed after each side apologized, it’s becoming the center of attention again since clips of the scene have been revealed.

I feel bad because I was #TeamYewon the whole time and thought LTI is a psycho bitch when the news first broke out. I even went as far as watching all Yewon's appearance on variety shows because I thought she is real nice. The fuck was I thinking? I feel cheated and so I skipped all her parts on WGM.

My question is this and correct me if I'm wrong... Do we know for sure that Yewon had anything to do with the statements Star Empire and MBC made? Like what if she told them what happened and they told her to keep quiet? I'm just curious as to how much 'power' she has to influence the narrator of this situation. She was stupid for acting the way she did, but the companies are worse for trying to cover it up.

I'm so conflicted because I was iffy about her at first with this whole situation and then actually started to like her on WGM. It makes me a little sad.

But it is MBC and they probably covered it up because it was when they were going to debut the new couple and wanted her to be likable... That worked out well for them. Ugh.

here's yewon's ~gracious acceptance~ of lee tae im's apology weeks ago. if it was truly written by her, it feels to me she agrees most of the blame is on lee tae im.

This is one time when K-Netizens should keep the crazy fight going.

That Star Empire (with 100% support from MBC and a willing Dispatch) slandered a woman to the point that her career is on the verge of collapse using an embellished a completely false story is disgusting. They should get dragged through the mud, at least as much as they instigated Lee Tae Im getting dragged through the mud.

This is media play at its extreme and disgusting worst.
