CNBLUE’s Minhyuk declines “Who Are You — School 2015″ lead role
CNBLUE’s Kang Minhyuk is reported to have declined the offer to appear in upcoming drama, Who Are You — School 2015.
In a statement released by FNC Entertainment on March 24th, they revealed that after giving the casting offer much thought, Kang Minhyuk politely declined to be the male lead for the drama. It was further explained that, “He was on the casting list but CNBLUE has a busy schedule in April so even if he were to participate heavy adjustment to the schedule would have been necessary.”
If he had accepted the role, Kang Min Hyuk would have played the male lead role of Han Lee Han, a visually appealing student and sports star. It follows the story of a twin sister delight with a twisted fated and will be included in the broadcast schedule of KBS 2TV once casting and filming were set.
Kim So Hyun to play double roles for “Who Are You — School 2015″
Actress Kim So Hyun will take the lead female role in the upcoming KBS drama Who are you – School 2015.
After the recent declines by CNBLUE‘s Kang Minhyuk and actress Lee Yubi to the lead roles in Who Are You – School 2015, the lead female role is now confirmed to have been taken by Kim So Hyun from the same agency as Lee Yubi, Sidus HQ.
The youth drama will surround the mystery of a set of twin sisters, Lee Eun Byul and Lee Eun Bi’s twisted fates. One is the “it girl” at a high school in Gangnam but gone missing one day with memory loss, while the other who used to be bullied became the queen bee when she transfers to a new school.
Kim So Hyun will be playing both characters, which will be a challenging role for the young actress, but related staff expressed their anticipation for the actress to portrait the characters well, being a current high school student and debuting as a child actress, possesses much acting experiences.
The School drama series has previously aired five seasons, starring many stars today including Jo In Sung, Jang Hyuk in earlier seasons, and Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk in the most recent School 2013.
The new series will be aired on April 27th.
Nam Joo Hyuk Confirmed as Male Lead of ‘School 2015′
Nam Joo Hyuk will be starring in Who Are You as the male lead.
One broadcasting affiliate told Newsen on March 31, “Nam Joo Hyuk will be appearing on Who Are You as the male lead. He attended the script reading.”
In KBS’ upcoming drama Who Are You – School 2015 (tentative), Nam Joo Hyuk will be acting as the male protagonist Han Yi Ahn. Nam Joo Hyuk will be returning to the small screen in about six months since he starred in tvN’s Surplus Princess in 2014. In Who Are You, Nam Joo Hyuk will be acting opposite the female lead, Kim So Hyun.
BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae is also in talks to join the drama as another male lead.
Having appeared on JTBC’s I’m Going to School, Nam Joo Hyuk will be returning to a drama to show his different charms.
Who Are You is a school drama with elements of mystery set at an autonomous private high school in Gangnam as the background. Who Are You begins when Eun Byul, the school’s top ‘it girl,’ returns to the school after she went missing but has lost her memory. Through her search for the truth, the reality of schools will be naturally portrayed.
Who Are You will be directed by Baek Sang Hoon PD, who also directed KBS’ Drama Special Season 5 – Middle School Student A, Secret, and more, and co-written by writer Kim Hyun Jung, who wrote Drama Special Season 5 – Middle School Student A and writer Kim Min Jung, who wrote KBS’ Drama Special – Happy Rose Day.
Who Are You is set to begin in April, following Blood.
BTOB’s ¥ook $ungja€ Positively Considering KBS’ ′School 2015′
BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae is currently considering KBS’ upcoming drama Who Are You – School 2015 (tentative).
An affiliate of Who Are You told Newsen on March 31, “BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae is currently considering the drama. His appearance hasn’t been confirmed yet but he is positively looking over it.”
Yook Sung Jae has previously starred in tvN’s Plus Nine Boys and Reply 1994, spreading his name as an acting-dol. If Yook Sung Jae decides to star in Who Are You, he will be returning to the small screen about six months after he appeared in Plus Nine Boys.
