A leaked video appeared earlier today that revealed the cussing incident between Yewon and Lee Tae Im that had resulted in the latter’s removal from the show, Tutoring Across Generations.

Previously, reports have indicated that Yewon had been wrongly criticized by Lee Tae Im on set and had been cussed at due to inappropriate behavior.

In order to address the incident, Yewon’s company released a statement regarding the situation as well as explaining the singer turned actress’ role in the incident.

On March 27th, a personnel from Yewon’s management Star Empire told Star News, “I saw the video and I don’t know what to say. Our stance hasn’t changed from what we previously said. Yewon does swear at the end but she is speaking to herself. I don’t want to make an issue out of that.”

Yewon previously stated, “I am sorry to have concerned so many people. I am thankful that she apologized first and I would like to cheer for her future sincerely. At the time, I was a guest at the program ‘Tutoring Across Generations’ and Lee Tae Im, who was not at ease due to personal reasons, misunderstood me who had no encounter with her previously.”

Meanwhile MBC has called for an emergency meeting after the video was released because they had no idea who uploaded this original footage. A staff member from the program Tutoring across Generations said, “The production team was just made aware of the situation and have called for an emergency meeting – we’re trying to make sense of the situation.”

Previously, Lee Tae Im had stated that she did indeed swear at Yewon, but Yewon had spoken informally to her. Yewon on the other hand said, “I never spoke informally; she must have misunderstood me.”

The leaked video of the incident has since been blocked worldwide and any version of the video that is being uploaded to YouTube is being automatically blocked by MBC.

Previously, it was reported that Lee Tae Im was removed from the show due to an unexpected conflict with cast member Yewon that stemmed from a misunderstanding. Since then, Yewon has been signed on as a part of the fixed cast of reality TV show We Got Married opposite Super Junior-M’s Henry.

Following the March 27th leaked video from the Lee Tae Im and Yewon argument, netizens are voicing their outrage at the singer-turned-actress’s role in the controversy by belatedly criticizing her recent Instagram post.

Earlier in the month, controversy arose regarding an argument between Lee Tae Im and Jewelry‘s Yewon during the recording of MBC‘s Tutoring Across Generations. It was initially reported that Lee Tae Im had stormed off the recording of the upcoming show while cursing at Yewon.

Media outlets released interviews with people around the area of the recording and a written transcript of the conversation that had transpired between the two celebrities. They claimed that Lee Tae Im was unprovoked and that her hostility was because she was upset with Yewon’s informal speech, with Yewon also stating that she had never spoke informally to the actress.

However, after weeks had passed, a video of the confrontation was leaked on March 27th, revealing that Yewon did speak informally, causing netizens to react to the previously reported claims. Included in their criticism, netizens are upset at Yewon for uploading a photo to Instagram on March 23rd of her smiling brightly while donning a fedora, white blouse, and polka-dotted skirt.

Some netizen responses have included:

1. [+1,318, -115] I seriously hate liars and people who act fake… so two faced.

2. [+1,234, -101] She’s a fox who acts like a bear. You can tell right away that she’s a sly little fox ㅋㅋㅋ I bet women knew right from the bat… truly, a woman’s worst enemy is another woman ㅋㅋ

3. [+1,165, -89] Farewell

4. [+113, -10] I prefer Lee Tae Im for not being able to hold back her disdain and swearing at her than Yewon who lied to gain sympathy and media played (with MBC + producers + Dispatch + other journalists) to exile an entire career from the industry.

5. [+92, -7] I hope she hits rock bottom so that she gets the same treatment from another junior doing better than her ㅋㅋㅋ

6. [+87, -7] Yewon: Journalist-nim, you don’t like me, right?

7. [+76, -5] Informal speech, up and down glare, success

Following the controversial outburst from Lee Tae Im towards Yewon, an official video was leaked and has prompted many to ask Yewon to step down from We Got Married.

On March 3rd, it was reported that Lee Tae Im stepped down from the show Tutoring Across Generations after an unexpected outburst toward Yewon.

The video was uploaded on March 28th and although Yewon’s agency, Starship Empire, has released a statement regarding the matter, many have taken to the popular show’s discussion forum to ask for Yewon to step down from her position opposite Super Junior-M’s Henry on the show.

Due to her questionable actions that were seen in the leaked video, comments harshly criticized the singer saying, “If you have even a bit of conscience apologize and step down” because she was “so twofaced it scares me, gives me goosebumps.”

Meanwhile, other’s have pushed for the show to take action, “What are the staff doing?”, “Please edit Yewon out starting from today’s episode” while still thinking of Yewon’s partner saying, “please get Henry re-married.”

There have been a few voices cheering Yewon on saying, “show us good chemistry with Henry just doing your best is the best alternative right now” while others have defended her asking, “How is Yewon at fault?”

The top comments as listed below were up-voted and seemed to stem from the controversy between the two.

[+ 4843, – 275] Of course she has to step down ㅋㅋㅋ poor Henry

[+4495, – 209] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ the end of some one who pretends to be the victim

[+3828, – 174] Get her off or close the program

1. [+536, -19] Just shut up already... what you guys basically did was write up a novel and exile an innocent celebrity from the industry. I wonder how many other articles you manipulated the truth out of with false information... thinking about it makes me get goosebumps. Instead of writing up excuses like this, you should be apologizing to Lee Tae Im.

2. [+475, -17] Dispatch's motto is 'News is Fact' but now they refuse to apologize after breaking that motto? If they want to be an upright media outlet, they should be apologizing in the face of such a scandal instead of running away from their misreport.

3. [+439, -12] Proving themselves to be a third rate rumor mill by the day ㅋㅋㅋ They acted so high and mighty before and now they act like they did nothing wrong ㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+62, -1] They're such a joke. They're the ones who reported the words of a Vietnamese witness who can't even speak Korean properly and what? ㅋㅋㅋ They're blaming the witnesses for the difference in their reports? If they were truly searching for the 'facts', they should've been looking for that video, not flying over to an island on a plane to listen to witnesses. And they're the ones who said Yewon cried without saying a word, basically lying about something that never even happened. You are no journalists.

5. [+57, -1] They should be apologizing to Lee Tae Im right now but they're still blaming her ㅋㅋㅋ

6. [+48, -1] Apologize first. Your words changed a person's life for the worst. Reflect over what you did and ask for forgiveness...

7. [+44, -1] Because of Dispatch, Lee Tae Im was forced off of her shows. Instead of writing up excuses like this, apologize to her first.

8. [+40, -1] ㅡㅡ; Shut up already and apologize to her. Also apologize to the readers of your article for providing them false information.

1. [+4,768, -199] Why isn't she apologizing? She's the one who media played as if she was the victim... that makes me more angry.

2. [+4,240, -182] What would she have to say ㅋㅋ when everything's been opened to the world ㅋㅋ

3. [+4,083, -136] Imagine if it wasn't Lee Tae Im but Lee Hyori... how differently would Yewon have treated her? Would she have used that same tone? It's because Yewon looked down on Lee Tae Im that she was able to speak to her easily like that. Lee Tae Im realized that she was being looked down upon.

Article: Yewon... the difference between her 'clarification' and what happened in the video... negative sentiment turns to her

Source: TV Daily via Nate

1. [+6,136, -414] One thing's for sure and it's that Yewon pissed Lee Tae Im off when she's younger than her

2. [+5,670, -356] Fu*k, I'd be super pissed off too if I just came out of the freezing water and some kid younger than me is speaking informally and staring at me with those eyes.

3. [+4,792, -447] Yewon was disrespectful using informal speech to someone she's not even close with. However, I also think it was wrong of Lee Tae Im to reprimand a junior in such a harsh way.

4. [+591, -26] This scandal made me realize that believing how other women read women is better than Dispatch's lies ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

5. [+429, -17] Yewon gives me goosebumps, seriously hate people like that

My Daily- Naver: WGM's online forum flooded with demands for Yewon to be edited out and be removed from the show, 'Chaos'

1. [+1156, -71] Of course she needs to quitㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Only Henry who's not even at fault will become the pitiful one here

2. [+1030, -60]ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ The last of her victim cosplay

3. [+883, -50] Make her quit or just take the show off air

4. [+235, -7] Lee Tae Im quit two shows but Yewon still continued to be on tv

5. [+234, -17] Both are at fault but Yewon cosplaying as the victim just gave me goosebumps... A sunbae unni greeted her first but she just sat there which  shows that she has no manners

6. [+177, -15] "You don't like me, right?"

7. [+138, -5] WGM is so pitifulㅋㅋㅋㅋ It was getting good but found itself in a mess again

8. [+109, -4] Yewon's career is over

9. [+125, -3] Why did MBC and Dispatch Lie? Are they trying to prevent Yewon from spilling something? What does Yewon know?

10. [+115, -5] It seems like speaking informally has become a habit of hers.  She even speaks to her male sunbaes informally on variety shows

-

Article: 'WGM' community board filled with requests to take Yewon off the show

Source: Mydaily via Nate

1. [+1,935, -92] If only she had come out with a statement like this ("I had made a mistake as well but I did not do it with malicious intent to make her feel bad. I spoke informally out of habit and it seems I annoyed her. I apologize for that and will reflect over it.") she probably wouldn't have gotten as much hate. Instead she lied about how she got yelled at when all she did was breathe and turned Lee Tae Im into a psycho. Yewon's a b*tch.

2. [+1,717, -97] I also request the two-faced Yewon to be taken off the show.

3. [+1,626, -85] Dispresectful b*tch who thinks it's okay to speak informally without any respect to seniority just because she's cold...

Source: Ilgan Sports via Naver

1. [+14,939, -1,114] Yewon-ah, we don't like you~

2. [+13,370, -642] They should start discussing it soon... the WGM homepage is being spammed with posts asking Yewon to leave the show.

3. [+12,476, -618] Imagine how much Yewon is swearing about Lee Tae Im in her head right now

4. [+10,314, -492] Whatever, do you want. At least the viewers won't lie.

5. [+10,128, -461] Oh she'll be leaving soon

6. [+3,802, -94] MBC is crazier than Yewon ㅡㅡ You can hear a female staff at the end of the video telling Yewon that she "didn't do anything wrong"... clearly all of the producers are on Yewon's side and are all nuts.

7. [+3,287, -73] Funny how Lee Tae Im's leave was decided so quickly but Yewon gets all this protective treatment~~ tsk tsk

8. [+3,153, -64] Why? They cut Lee Tae Im off sharper than a knife...

i hate that phrase, because really everybody's worst enemy is women. men shit on women, women shit on women because society makes it so. a man is a strong-willed leader, a woman is just a bossy bitch etc.

*sigh* If Yewon had just said something like "I spoke informally because I felt comfortable with Lee Tae Im, but I was wrong. I apologize" in the beginning this wouldn't be as bad as it is. And this -- ...misunderstood me who had no encounter with her previously." As a Korean, she should realize in that situation you need to speak with basic formality at least.

Just as my personal opinion I can let the swearing thing go cuz I'd have the same reaction >.> but that is only my opinion. As a celeb, you have to be careful even when you think no one can hear you.

doubt she can use the "i'm so comfortable with her i used informal speech" cus it didn't seem like a one-time mistake, but rather her...baiting LTI? sort of?

i mean she repeatedly used informal speech, even after LTI chided her for speaking like that. dunno man, even as a spectator the entertainment industry exhausts me.

Yeah, I'm confused too, because the journalist or whoever wrote the article isn't calling them on it.

Their earlier statement when Tae-im first claimed Yewon had rudely used banmal, which is what set her off:
Image

Now:
a personnel from Yewon’s management Star Empire told Star News, “I saw the video and I don’t know what to say. Our stance hasn’t changed from what we previously said. Yewon does swear at the end but she is speaking to herself. I don’t want to make an issue out of that.”

Like, I can't see how they're allowed to wiggle out of admitting that they were lying. It's so clear-cut.

Despite how much i like yewon, she really did provoke lim tae won. I feel bad for her that she had to apologize and quit 2 shows when infact yewon isnt innocent as what dispatch and Star empire said. Lti probably enjoying every second of this.

honestly I have a quick temper and I blow up and then apologise afterwards, it seem Tae Im has a similar personality, but Yewon is looking a bit messy rn, they both killed their careers

Lee Tae Im was wrong to snap at Yewon and Yewon was wrong to act like a prick to Tae Im (older and senior to boot).

But the biggest issue now is how one side completely lied and worked to destroy Lee Tae Im's career. They dragged her ass through the mud using some made up story. That's disgusting (but not surprising, which is unfortunate in today's world.)

I think most people have moved on from the banmal and are now (rightfully) upset at how Yewon's side, including MBC and a willing Dispatch, worked together to cover their own asses.

I find it interesting, as a cultural thing, the situation about the informal speech/ cursing (I know it's not only about this) but it such a contrast to America where you see reality tv shows where they are cursing each other all the time and these type of conflicts are common for tv.
