It's kinda weird, but hearing this made me want Ailee to collab with BENI. Their styles aren't even that similar, so idk where that came from, but it could be interesting.

If Korean singers actually collabed with Japanese singers anytime more often than once in a blue moon, anyway.

she's not?!!! :( i thought she was. but tbh, i'm pretty sure i have always been out of the loop with jpop. i just listen to who i like. ck, dream (and i like the other egirls artists but in their sub-units), daichi miura, beni & freak. i really don't know that many artists. :(

She used to be, but her popularity's dropped a lot. :( R&B singers, female soloists especially, in general have been down in the lower rungs of popularity for a while now. Her last album barely sold over 5k before dropping from Oricon. She's been trying to crossover to the American market, but well... Not a lot of success there either for now.

ah okay. thanks for letting me know. i seriously need to find out about more japanese artist. but i guess it makes sense; a lot of boy bands are taking over. i miss seeing female vocalist and mixed groups. i wish we got more types like clazziquai, ailee, urban zapaka, ect.

Possibility really was the best part of Identity, which was, in my opinion, quite the flop album. It wasn't nearly as floppy as Who's Back (Fuck you, Avex, that wasn't even an album, that was a singles compilation!), but compared to the flawlessness of The Face, Identity fell flat.

OMG! the original song is hands down one of the greatest jpop (and anime songs) of all time i shit u not. ikimono gakari is amazing.
