Hyeri in Talks for Leading Role in “Reply 1988″

Girl’s Day member and actress Hyeri has been reported to be in consideration for the leading role in the upcoming tvN drama, “Reply 1988.”

Media outlet Sports World reported earlier that Hyeri has been confirmed for the leading role of the drama. However, Producer Shin Won Ho of the “Reply” series denied this claim, stating, “The female lead role has yet to be confirmed. We are still in the process of casting. We have only met with Hyeri.”

He also added, “As we have always done, we will cast someone who can act and fit the character really well.”

Hyeri has recently shown her acting chops on “Seonam Girls High School Investigators” and “Hyde, Jekyll, Me.” “Reply 1988″ is expected to premiere later this year.

I don't know anything about Hyeri's acting skills...anyone know why all the hate? Just because she's an idol? Or is she a terrible actress?

She's very pretty but her face always seems slightly off...not creepy per se but I can't think of the word. I think maybe her eyes feel a bit too big?

I'm feeling less and less like watching 1988. Which is sad, since it's my birth year. I may wait until the series is finished because i can't handle any more ship wars or any more pseudo-brother/sister raised together but it's not incest cause they're not related first love always wins plot.

As for Hyeri... I'm not impressed with her in Seonam. I still have to finish, but the episodes she was absent she wasn't missed. Maybe its more her character than acting, but. Pass.
