Yesterday I was riding my bike and was eating something, then I got a call from the company. There was a 5-car pileup accident and it seemed like the passenger was me so they were going to release an article saying it's me. I was taken aback by the fact that they were going to release an article based on a video that could not confirm I was the passenger. Because it's not good news, fans would worry ㅜㅜ

Because it wasn't confirmed that I was the passenger, my name would not go out in articles and the conversation finished there. I watched a friend's performance, went out to eat and went home.But early in the morning I got texts from people and when I confirmed with articles, my picture was used with a mosaic in an article about a drunk driver's passenger.. A fuzzy picture saying 'girl group member with initial J'..ㅜㅜ The company said they'll take action if an exact name is mentioned directly but fans keep worrying and they're probably frustrated so I'm writing a post before that happens! It's not me so don't misunderstand and worry! To the people involved in the accident, I hope your injuries aren't too severe.. It's early in the morning, everyone have a nice Sunday.. ^^

We have confirmed with Yang Jiwon and the other members. It is definitely not any one of them. People may misidentify the female as Jiwon when watching the video, but it is definitely not her. We were also left feeling speechless when the news was reported with Yang Jiwon's blurred photo. It's a horrifying world recently; people fail to distinguish right from wrong. However, we still have no specific plans of taking any legal action.

So you think the agency/Jiwon is lying, and they're willing to implicate other, more high-profile idols to try to get out of this? Because that seems super risky, considering this is something that can be found out. And is Spica's agency powerful enough to suppress reports/leaks of the identity?

Would ilbe have the lowdown or considered more reliable on this than other sources, or were they just going off the picture the news report used as well?

no not at all, I highly doubt B2M is powerful enough + Jiwon and Bohyung personally posted on Spica's gallery hours after the ilbe report to reassure fans that they were ok and no Spica members were involved. since the female idol in the video was aware of cameras filming, personally denying it would be the dumbest move since it could be debunked so easily. at most I think the original report was based on inaccurate eyewitness accounts. it also mentioned that the male was a child actor, but that piece of info disappeared in subsequent reports. it's a mess.

Assuming the Jiwon lead was fake and due to the news broadcaster's irresponsibility, and that the top idol/group hint is of some significance, I do think Sojin is the best bet. :-/

idt its jiyeon, she was at a fashion show yesterday and the idol in question would have facial lacerations. 4minute is filming weekly idol so if its jihyun itll be obvious pretty quickly

Nah, if that girl in the video is the idol in question, idt it's Sulli, whose hair is shorter and whose build is bigger. The blurred-out girl looks super petite.

If that's true about articles mentioning Sojin getting deleted, I think we have our girl. :-/ (if it was untrue, her agency would probably just come out with a denial instead of going to all this trouble to erase any mention of her in connection to the accident)

I find it suspicious that the news has video of the girl but still chose to use Jiwon picture knowing it wasn't her AND hasn't bothered to clarify it. This situation is a little different in that the girl hasn't done anything illegal and isn't directly responsible for the injuries (also it seems none of the injuries are serious). Although that's just me speculating but I find it so odd how there's video of the girl at the accident and she was taken to the hospital but no one knows who she is. Either she's not that famous or she is REALLY famous.

oh! Ops, I missed a crucial point, I didn't watch the video because I thought it was just going to be showing the aftermath aka just the car damage.
After watching it, yes, the girl has long hair. It could be Jihyun (4Minute). Not entirely sure because night time really messes with the hair colour.

On the other hand, for the news broadcast to use a blurred picture of Jiwon was just unprofessional. They could have used a black silhouette of a female with a question mark on it....like they normally do.
