I added some links above with more info regarding the subject since I find vice videos more often then not very sensasionalist. It's also at times troubling when a westerner comes to portray another culture as something strange and peculiar without tryng to understand the cause and effect of what they are portraying, especially complicated subjects.

Date: 2015-03-20 03:17 am (UTC)Also, does the ideal man / women even exist lol.
I think declining birthrates are a huge problem everywhere, but especially asia. I am from a country with even worse birthrates than korea, and i can totally see why women would not want kids. Why would I choose to work, look after kids, do chores, look after parent in laws and my own parents when I can be free and single, doing what I want with my own money.
Until society does something to help mothers, whether it is more maternity leave or whatever / change the mindset of women being expected to do so much, I don't see birthrates going up, because it just doesn't seem like a good option anymore for women.
