Woo Bin Keeps Dropping Dramas and Our Hopes: Will Not Be in Jeju Gatsby

After previously having been in talks to star in an upcoming Wednesday-Thursday MBC drama by the Hong Sisters titled “Feeling Good” (working title)—which was formerly known as “Jejudo Gatsby”—actor Kim Woo Bin has ultimately decided not to take up the casting offer.

On March 19, a representative of Sidus HQ told OSEN, “Although [Kim Woo Bin] has continued to discuss [the offer] closely, even until today, the casting was ultimately turned down. There was not enough time. Unfortunately, it fell through in the end because filming for ‘Feeling Good’ needed to begin soon. However, [the actor’s] schedules have already been decided through the middle of April. [He] would also need time to prepare [for the role] prior to filming in order to show a perfect image in ‘Feeling Good,’ which is why there is a lack of time.”

Last month, it had been reported that Kim Woo Bin was reviewing the offer for this new drama for a role opposite actress Kang Sora.

Meanwhile, “Feeling Good” is expected to begin airing in May

i call bullshit on his excuse but now im worried for kang sora. she's still in talks so hopefully she takes it and it becomes a success ala Pinocchio instead of a mess like BIG

pinocchio's park hye ryun's, not hong sisters and pinocchio flopped in comparison to ihyv (but to be fair all the dramas of the past year and half since my love from star have been flopping).

it actually makes sense that he dropped it because this drama is filmed in jejudo and he has fan meets and movie promotion till mid-april. the director of the drama is the guy who did new hearts and queen sunduk and is notorious for torturing actors beyond the point of breaking all human ethical issues... i don't think woobin has the mentality to withstand him as of yet
also there's like one script out for the first episode so far, kind of a dangerous move.

anyways this drama is full of cliches and is the typical rich guy meets poor girl (but in JEJU this time!) story and to be honest i wish sora would drop out too, but looks like she's locked in.

When I heard this drama had ZERO scripts written I was like, "Good choice...run away Woo Bin" they'd be live shooting almost the entire run at this point

the fact they have no scripts is messy. it seems to be the trend of all currently filming dramas to be semi pre filmed. orange marmlade is already filming and it doesn't premiere until may. girl who sees smells has started filming already as well. plus song joong ki's new project descendants of the sun is planning on being completely pre filmed.

i think that's a wonderful trend honestly, it's best to have a set script instead of changing whatever to fit public opinion and live shooting is always a horrid mess
