Red Velvet to Return with New Member Yeri as a Five-Member Group

SM Entertainment‘s latest girl group Red Velvet will be returning as a five-member group.

SM released an introduction video to their official Youtube channel to welcome the newest member of the group, Yeri. Yeri, 16 in Korean age, has been with the agency since 2011. She is known to be thoroughly talented in dancing, singing, and rapping. She has also performed previously at the “SM Town Live” Seoul concert in August of 2014.

Red Velvet, which formerly consisted of four members Wendy, Irene, Joy, and Seulgi, will be having their official comeback as a five-member unit on March 18 with their first full-length album “Ice Cream Cake.” They have also released teaser images for Yeri, Joy, and Irene.

I'd be interested to know why, but I'm so pumped for a full Red Velvet album and Yeri is seriously adorable. I hope this comeback will give the girls the boost to really start climbing in popularity.

Sidenote: I feel compelled to give Yeri a colour (purple dip dye would have looked OK on her) just so that the korean fans can go out and buy new feather dusters in time for the comeback.

Edit: I think Soompi are wrong. I've heard everywhere that she's a 99 liner making her about to turn (if not already) 16 in international years.
