I have, quite literally, been out of the scene that is music, Kpop, LiveJournal, and uh... anything beyond life beating me in the face with fire since JULY. I also bought Urban Decay products from their Friends and Fanatic sale going on now. Lately I have been into lip products but I am kinda worried since I get chapped lips very easily. Any recommendations for Korean lip products ie lipstick, tinted lipbalm?
I like the etude house jelly lipstick things.... i think thats the name. its super moisturizing but super sheer as well lol. i got the orange one. otherwise their tints are also really nice
i'm having a big exam next wed and i sorta suspect i will fail, eh. i really can't get myself to learn this shit and do all these pointless stuff like breakdown sheets for each scene in 90-scenes long script, then writing down all the props and even more bs... not to mention this professor is a dick and this year he's especially willing to fail everyone. his exam is face to face, first segment is 100 questions from a dictionary, later 50 from whatever he said on lectures, then he gives you tax to count and finally he checks your assigments. it takes ~1,5h per student and you can make only 6 mistakes - he calls them zonks. you can negotiate if your mistake is worth less tha a whole zonk but basically it's hard to pass this shit. i already failed last year and had to repeat a semester. it's a shame i will fail again. i'm lazy as fuck and i hate that professor so much. he's a sexist douche and think hes the best producer in industry... he plays master of puppets with his students, it's really annoying. not to mention he always puts the blame on student, not thinking even a second that his methods seem questionable. i just feel bad that i'm a failure that can't sit on her ass and learn shit instead of whining. i just dunno what i am even doing with my life.
feeling kinda eh but yesterday i finally got around to listening to janelle monáe's the electric lady album and that's enough to have made my week 150% better. amazing.

This past week was the first week of the new semester at my hagwon. All of the old foreign teachers left the school except myself and we got a bunch of newbs. I got promoted to head foreign teacher and it was super stressful these past two weeks making sure the new teachers knew what they were doing. Plus our campus expanded and we got a bunch of new students and new classes to teach. And I got sick.
But! I'm feeling better this weekend and it was sooooo nice walking through the halls of the school and the students saying hello to me so cheerfully! Even though I have no plans to make teaching my actual career, having kids happy to see me is like one of the best feelings ever.
I have a friend who is always comparing herself to me, to the extent that she is always talking about how much paler she is than me and how she hates being tanned (we are asian, and she isn't even paler), and about her dad giving her money for chinese new years, and then being all passive aggressive about the nice things I buy with my own money that i worked for, when she is living off her parents while studying.
im sick of her crap. going to start slowly cut off contact with her.
Over the last month or so I've written seven chapters for my book (eight to fourteen), and before that one to seven took... four months? Which is exciting, but I still have sooo much book to goooo... Like I think probably around chapter twenty I'll get to the second "half" of the book with the introduction of the third main character.
I enjoy writing, but I do not like the self-imposed isolation of writing. D: Because other people are watching TV shows, playing games, all sorts of other stuff and I... write. And write some more. There are remarkably few people willing to listen to you ramble on about your book, especially when it's kind of weird (aka full of dudes having sex). What's really sad is when I'll find someone who's cool with the queer erotica portion, but then can't handle the horror part, or something similar.
What's less exciting is the constant depressed blagh of my immune system trying to keep me from being ill. I have a pile of clothing that needs to be washed in the middle of my floor because I haven't been able to do laundry. At least I showered today? (I need to change my sheets... do I even have clean sheets...?) It's sad when you don't even have the energy to nap.

I hadn't written much in my journal in the past few years either but I seem to be on a frenzy this week. (I write in spanish.)
I am 28 years old. Everyone thinks I am at least 3-4 years younger. Today I realized that the reason might be that I desperately refuse to become an adult. I mean: I live alone, work, I do all my things by myself, I pay rent, I vote, I do all those adult things. I just... there's something about me, I guess. I gravitate towards younger people. The people I've met, my own age, are... boring. And cynical.
I'm constantly reminded that I'm "immature" even though I'm out her being a "grownup" (at least on paper). Fortunately I'm only 21, so I have 3 more years before this becomes a problem.
