M.I.B’s Kangnam Reported to Be Making His Solo Debut

It has been reported that M.I.B member Kangnam will be making his solo debut in Korean and Japan with his first-ever solo album in the coming months.

Kangnam will be releasing a solo album in Korea in March before recording a Japanese version to be released in Japan the following month.

The M.I.B member has become a trending star on the rise and earned much popularity through his appearances in a number of variety programs including “Hello Stranger,” “Animals,” and more.

Before making his debut as a part of M.I.B in Korea in 2011, he promoted in Japan with a band called KCB in 2008, releasing three singles.

Meanwhile, Kangnam has been chosen as the ambassador of ‘KCON 2015 Japan,’ which will be opening up on April 22 at the Saitama Super Arena.

Nam Joo Hyuk Thinks Kangnam Had Plastic Surgery after Seeing His Old Photos

Model and actor Nam Joo Hyuk suspects M.I.B‘s Kangnam of getting plastic surgery after seeing his past photos.

On the March 3 episode of JTBC‘s variety show “Off to School,” Kangnam and Nam Joo Hyuk go to the Hawaiian school that Kangnam had previously attended.

In this episode, Kangnam’s graduation album is revealed. His school principal takes out the graduation album and says to Nam Joo Hyuk, “Do you think you can find Kangnam in here?”

Nam Joo Hyuk begins the challenge confidently, but it takes him a while to find Kangnam in the album. Kangnam looks different in the 10-year-old photo, and Kangnam explains, saying, “I weighed 90 kg back then.”

However, Nam Joo Hyuk isn’t fully satisfied by the explanation and jokes, “Something is different, and not because you lost weight. You definitely changed something. I caught you for sure this time.”

Kangnam Has an Easy-Going Personality Because of Experience Living in Japan, Hawaii, and Korea

During an interview with Elle, M.I.B‘s Kangnam revealed his secret to having an easy-going personality.

Many are already aware of Kangnam’s quirky and outgoing personality from “I Live Alone,” as the TV show revealed him exchanging numbers with someone he met for the first time in the subway, and talking casually with complete strangers.

When asked how he came to have such a laid-back personality, he answered, “I can get close to people very quickly because of my experience living in Japan, Hawaii, and Korea.” He also mentioned that he was blessed with the talent to keep various connections with people since he was little, and added, “What I think as most important in life is maintaining relationships with others.”

He also jokingly explained the reason for keeping his hair blonde, saying, “I kept my hair blonde fearing that people wouldn’t recognize me otherwise, but I’m planning to go through changes soon.”

Meanwhile, Kangnam revealed that he will release a single album around March, and will be active as a singer soon.

he's really funny on off to school, sadly no one subs it. he and nam joo hyuk are comedy gold. for example in one episode kangnam saw handcuffs and locked nam joo hyuk's left hand. they had no key so they actually went to police station to get them unlocked

I think it was Cream(?). He went on a titter rant (probably about something political...I think he wanted to change the Korean flag). Korea was not having any of that. His company probably has him looked in a basement right now.

I hope someone sub "Off to School" soon. It's already fun just watching it without sub (especially the Tom & Jerry, Kangnam & Nam Joo Hyuk interaction parts), but knowing what they're talking about will be even more so~~
