There's no official word on the matter but there's talk among fans that trainee Yang Hongseok has left YG Entertainment.  His fan site tweeted the following:

"It's true that Hongseok has left YG.  Please believe and support Hongseok's decision.  'Bomhongsi' will walk together with Hongseok no matter the path he takes.  Please continue to support him so that 2015 will become "Yang" Hongseok's year. Thank you.

(TN: 'Yang' also means sheep in Korean. It's a play on words as 2015 is the year of the Sheep.)

Jinhyeong rumors

Netizens are abuzz about recent rumors that trainee Jung Jinhyeong has decided to leave YG Entertainment three months after his participation on Mix and Match, the trainee survival show which created upcoming hip hop group iKON in November.

Some netizens have stated that after getting in touch with his acquaintances and YG Entertainment, they have verified that the trainee has left the agency. In addition, the netizens who revealed this information have also stated that Jung Jinhyeong left for personal reasons and not due to other outside pressures, hoping to quell the rumors of other company offers and various other influences in his life.

Some netizens have speculated that these are nothing more than fabricated rumors while others are offering words of support and encouragement to the trainee and wishing for a brighter future for the vocalist.

A post on Instiz has turned into a discussion forum between fans as they speculate the validity of these rumors. The post is full of photos of the vocalist captioned “YG Trainee Jung Jinhyeong of Mix and Match; some fans are saying that these are just rumors which have spread quickly.”

YG Entertainment has yet to make an official statement regarding these rumors.

So these are just rumors, nothing is confirmed, tho I'm pretty sure Jinhyeong left for real, some fans met him and he said so. It's also rumored he joined A Cube. Idk about Hongseok, but there are a lot of pics of him going around, out and about, so he's probably also out. It was expected tbh, YG only kept them around to save face lbr

not surprised they left ... we all saw it coming the moment they fell into the public's good graces and yg said he was keeping them around. plus, what would they even be doing in yg??? lord knows they're not going to debut another bg after ikon for like a million years.

i liked both of them more than chanwoo and some of the original members so i hope to see them do something worthwhile in the future.

haha! i was actually stanning bobby until he started giving interviews after smtm. lord. i hate when i learn more about my favs and it turns out they're not worthy of stanning :(

Eh? Don't get this. From what I heard, Hongseok was only with them a few weeks before M & M. And apparently he had already auditioned elsewhere and failed. Hongseok is probably exactly where he would have been without the show, only with more public recognition and fan support. He was a long shot any way you look at it.

It's good that they left. Considering that YG recently acquired many acts (iKon, Winner,Akmu, Lee Hi) and have yet to debuted iKon. There is a low possibility that these trainees would be debuting under YG in the near future.

They would have a better chance of debuting (earlier) under another company. Not to mention that they may get more spotlight and attention in another group, like how Hyuna probably would not have gotten a solo or this much public attention if she stayed with WG (although it wasn't on purpose).

maybe yg recently finally realized he can't keep all these people with no time to fit them in. like they said that's why they didn't re-sign seven as they can't fit any comeback in for him this year. it's already weird debuting 2 boy groups within a year, no way they'd debut another one soon after ikon.

i didn't watch this show but i saw through tweets how biased YG was from the start towards his secret son Chanwoo who legit brings NOTHING to iKon, Jinhyeong was robbed since the whole show was about finding a good vocal and that hongseok boy was used & disposed after they fucked up his editing.

But I guess along with that thought as well every time I listen to them is that YG gave us the illusion we could've had something more to balance group dynamics had Jinhyeong (or Hongseok) joined. Case in point the ENL and Long Time No See performances from the final match in comparison to the Team B only ENL cover that they included on the M&M DVD.
