lol don't get me started :p i like some d list johnnys like news shige (he's slowly climbing up, his novel got a movie adaptation) but how they push the newer groups like johnny west or sexy zone members into dramas is scary
i dont mind people like nakayama yuma cause the boy can sing and act (he's a flop :/) yet usually like one per 10 is a decent enough to call what he's doing acting
i always laugh at the comments from knetizens on idols in dramas, they have no idea how it's done in japan :p

I have no idea on how the newer Johnnys are doing in dramas since I stopped after KATTUN. Oh noes, I did watch some of Yamada's dramas but idol dramas acting really not to my liking. I dont blame the actors but the scripts and plots are beyond ridiculous aka Yamada's Risao no Misuko (The Perfect Son).

To think Nojima Shinji wrote Perfect son... Then again soon after he also penned 49 with one of the Sezy Zone centers and it was about dead father's spirit entering his teenage son's body. The premise wasn't bad but I dropped it as soon as it got onto sort of mother complex territory. He's doing new Yamapi drama now, based on Flowers for Algernon, and already everyone marked it as a failure :P
I miss the times Johnnys weren't thrown so much into dramas as a barter...

OMG, the drama was written by Nojima Shinji? How on earth is that possible? T___T Love Shuffle is gold, awesome and full of witty script and GOLD is really good. And he also penned KinKi's very disturbing Ningen Shikkaku drama which is kind of brilliant. How on earth it is the same guy? Esp when Yamada asked his mum to marry him in The Perfect Son. WTH is he thinking to even put that plot in the drama??!! XD

God I love Flowers for Algernon -- the Korean version of the story is kind of awesome IMO -- actually, I just love how the main actor completely transform from mentally retarded to cool and brilliant in the drama. I actually watch the drama twice over the years ahaha. It is actually the last time that I actually watch Kim Ok Bin in something good tbh..

I think JE has something on him, given how often he works with their talents :p In GOLD I was rooting for Sorimachi... And I recently started watching Niingen Shikkaku but I'm taking it easy, given that it's subbed only up to episode 7. I'm on episode 3 rn and fuck it's amazing. I tried watching Strawberry on the Shortcake that was kinda disturbing as well but in there the only thing I liked was Kubozuka Yosuke...
I think Nojima Shinji likes to explore that kind of disturbing shit mother complex is, he wrote characters with mother abandoment issues like Kimutaku in Pride.

In GOLD, I was rooting for the husband! haha Amani Yuki has been friend-zoned Sorimachi since in the beginning lol. Actually, I thought she and her husband are adorable since they're so odd together like totally opposite of each other. And that makes it an interesting couple. I love the scene near the end where he lays on her lap while she feed him the grape -- it was so cute and it obvious despite all her strong exterior, she loves him despite hating to admit it herself. :D

Ningen Shikkaku is very disturbing -- all I remember is how disturbing and dark it is that I dont exactly remember the plot tbh. I actually skim it through this morning again (your fault!) and it remind me how disturbing it is. EVERYONE I mean EVERYONE in the drama is insane! The interesting thing havent happened yet in Episode 3, wait until something big happened (T_T) and Koichi's character started to go crazy slowly. I love it lol. That's the only time you can see 'The Prince' in something like this. haha KinKi always got good projects -- I dont know how they did it, but all their dramas together are amazing. Wakaba no Koro is amazing as well -- explore serious stuffs in life unlike other dramas nowadays.

Nojima Shinji do likes to explore the disturbing stuffs like mother complex. Even Love Shuffle which is supposed to be light got dark stuffs in it as well. Its amazing how he can write these disturbing stuffs and managed to tell his stories in a prime time TV shows.

Hello, God is kind of interesting. I really like it esp when the male character started to become intelligent. And I love all him and Kim Ok Bin's scenes together. :))

The drama could have survived if they had better actors, I have seen much more ridiculous premises/plots that were successful because the actors could (somewhat) act... With actors (there is no use in saying "better" because this two can't act even to save their lives) I'm sure this whole mess would/could have been a much better (or at least different) story...

i just had to come in and applaud OP on the title because it made me lol irl.

i was morbidly interested in this drama when the premise was announced. sounds like the acting is just as bad as twilight so... *shrugs* not sure if i hate myself enough yet or not.

lol OP we all predicted this but poor Ahn Jaehyun. He must feel really bad reading all the comments. :( I still have no idea who thought it will be good idea to cast him as a lead. Its pretty obvious he cant act even in YWCFTS.
