Bebop's 1st Anniversary

Hello everyone. It’s Bebop’s Ayeon. What brought me to write a letter~ Because!! <2015.2.14> Yesterday was Bebop’s 1st anniversary since debut. Thank you to everyone who sent congratulatory cake and gifts, we received them well and are really touched♥ (The one little candle was funny keke) Because I wanted to express my gratitude so I wrote this handwritten letter. Look at it prettily!! As I started writing this letter, I was able to look back at what happened in the past one year. In 2014, I received so much love that was beyond my expectations and I do not know how to express this feeling with words besides ‘I’m happy’. Bebop’s drummer Ayeon, bunny girl Ayeon, KT Giga girl Ayeon till genius pianist Son Su-Ji.. Because I did activities in these various fields, I was able to see, listen and learn many things thus it was a precious year for me. Although we experienced tough times, we were able to withstand it with positive mindsets and bright energy. (Everyone~ Having a positive mindset is not only for your mental state but it is also said to have good influence on your body!! >_< Kkya) To be honest, before we debuted, it was a huge trial… Fans know this but I’ve been playing the classic piano for about 10 years. We were preparing to become a girl group but converted to a band so I tried to debut as a keyboardist. However, right before our debut, 2 out of the 4 members, the drummer and the bassist withdrew from the group, that’s a terrible thing to happen right… Hyuㅠㅠ… We needed a new member and because I wanted to achieve my dream, I practiced and practiced. Then!! I was able to play the drums♥ Although it was exciting and fun to challenge something new, I also had a lot of pressure for what was to come in the future. With Ji-In’s addition, Bebop finally debuted officially on <2014.2.14>. Bebop’s drummer Ayeon was born and things that I really never imagined for them to happen, happenedㅠ.ㅠ I will never be able to forget the busking session we did at Marronnier Park. Fans who love and support us♥ I’m really grateful!! Because there’s you guys, there’s also Bebop. While we’re living, if there’s happiness that Bebop can give, we’ll make the happiness grow larger!! (Quite cheesy right??;; Keke) I don’t know if what I’m saying is too deep haha keke. Thank you for reading♥ Ggubeok*♥

I’ll always take care of my drums and when the weather allows me to turn my drumsticks outside, I’ll go out! Not just me, the other members are dying to meet you guys too♥♥♥ Just wait a little till the weather gets better. We’re preparing hard so that everyone’s eyes and ears can enjoy.

Hello everyone! It’s Juwoo hehe *.*

It’s already February of 2015 and the heartwarming (Korean) New Year! Happy New Year everyone~ This year too, be healthy always and good luck in everything you do! I hope everything that happens would be good♡ Ah! It was our 1st debut anniversary recently >_< Hehe. How did time pass by so quickly… Our first year anniversary day was also interesting for us and it seems like we will have motivation to work even harder in the future. My mood was good that day!! To the staffs who came to the company to deliver the cake, wreath and handwritten letters and those who cannot come but were still thinking of us, thank you very much hehe. Let’s create congratulatory days for another five years, ten years and so on >_<♡ Although we do not have social activities often on our SNS, it’s not true that we don’t see the photos everyone uploaded! We’re always looking~ That’s why we gain lots of strength *.* I want the weather to get better right now so that we can do busking and performances at clubs and see everyone quicklyㅠㅠ It’s the same for all of you right?? Hehe. We’ll show you a better image soon~ Please endure for a little while more hehe. Lastly, best wishes and eat lots of rice cake soup and have a fun Korean New Year!! I love you♡♥♡

OP you seem to know alot about Bebop. I read in a previous post they do a lot of street performances. Do you have any idea where I can find out about them? Like location/time? I'm going to try to see them live when I'm in Korea.

I have no idea actually - I presume they post notice on their fancafe? When are you going? Last year they did a couple of busking events in April/May then disappeared afaik until late summer. I do know that they're usually in the Hongdae area.
The person behind areyouready-bebop (http://areyouready-bebop.tumblr.com/) seems to be one of the first proper translators in the fan community for Bebop so they could maybe tell you where to start looking.

they released a barely promoted-mini in december (although they played the songs at concerts/busking so idk maybe they're pursuing a more indie route now?) so while i'm hopeful for new material i'm not very expectant
still i hope they get more activities soon, they've been really quiet the last couple months.
