yeah it has to do with the material theyre given. all their songs have overprocessed soft vocals and choreo with simple movements so theres not a lot more they CAN do imo

do you know me was good bc it was upbeat (required smiling basically) and had lots of solo fanservicey moments where they could emote at the camera (which theyre better at than dancing)

tbh i think a lot of the flack they get is because they all have "bitchy resting faces" i HATE that term but its why everyone mistakes them for looking bored/disinterested on stage
