I think 'Happy Birthday' might be my favorite. Although, I'm not the biggest fan of the whole airy falsetto thing. But I'm so happy for him and so very proud of all the work he put into this album. His first showcase was tonight in Nagoya and from what I heard it was really great.

And then the piano is too pared down for me to really get into the beat. It just never builds or goes anywhere and that's a pet peeve of mine with slow music. He sounds really lovely though. I will not talk about his hair. I will not... But he blurred the line between artfully disheveled and slept fitfully last night.
I straight up socks sliding on the floor arms swinging JAM to ROSE though.

Date: 2015-02-19 07:14 pm (UTC)I can see that being a problem. I'm anxiously waiting to hear the song in its entirety because there may be a crescendo part later on? I think it's his voice in this song that makes me like it as much as I do. I always feel bad about being critical because I do love the kid, but a lot of times it takes me a while to warm up to his songs. For me, I think it's because of the range he's singing in. I think he's got a great voice, that can be a lot better with refinement. But I always feel like he's struggling to hit those high notes. Whereas with 'Happy Birthday' I think he found that sweet spot in his range that works really well with his voice.
R.O.S.E. is the perfect song to play when you're having a night in with your girlfriends and consuming copious amounts of alcohol.
Edit: I love your description of his hair.

But I totally agree about the range thing. I'd be more than okay with a lot of singers lowering their tone instead of reaching to hit notes that don't come naturally and sound forced even with training. Also, there a some super sexy deep voices in kpop that I'd love to hear croon to me (lol and by that I mean Junho... because I'm basically 98% out of kpop these days and have no idea what anyone but 2pm is doing).
My favorite wooyoung hairstyle was the only time my 2pm bias list was ever shaken and I had a lot of emotions from him that came out of no where and were very confusing and NOT welcome :p.

I saw a fancam of him running his fingers through it and fell back down exactly in the beautiful waves and I was like HELL NO JANG WOOYOUNG.
