Pann: Albums thrown away in the trash

"I work near the Sangam MBC and on my way home I found a whole pile of albums just thrown away... I'm a fan of a certain girl group so I digged through them just in case but the majority of the CDs were actually from well known artists... The competition must be so fierce to get your name out there right now. I grabbed a few of the CDs from artists I knew and they weren't empty cases in case you were wondering, they all had CDs in them."

2. [+23, -1] (OP) There were tons of albums from no-name artists... I'm sure they worked so hard on those songs so it's sad to see them thrown out like that. The albums from no-name artists were all autographed with messages written to the reps ㅜㅜ

3. [+22, -1] Hul... and I bet they smile at them and say, "Yeah, we enjoyed listening to your songs ^^" when they actually threw them out

4. [+12, -3] I'd grab all of them, why throw them out;;;; and INFINITE-F, Davichi, and Im Chang Jung aren't even no-name artists (not that you should throw those out either).. ugh;

5. [+10, -0] You never know with this industry... They probably say "Oh, we'll enjoy your songs~ thanks~" and turn around to throw them out.

6. [+8, -0] Meanwhile some fans can't even afford these albums

7. [+7, -2] Isn't the story of CNBLUE throwing away Girl's Day's CD during their no-name days famous too ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

8. [+7, -0] It really upsets me as a fan. My singer worked so hard for that album, not for it to be just thrown out like that.

9. [+3, -0] Hul, no wonder ㅋㅋㅋ My grandpa's friend is a higher-up at a broadcast station so I asked him for INFINITE's autographed CD and he gave me a whole pile of other CDs too, like seven of them ㅋㅋㅋ I thought they were special extras but he was just throwing them out on me;;;;

I think it's the albums groups go around gifting to seniors/staff/higher-ups/PDs. It...makes sense that they'd get tossed, but it's still kind of harsh.

And every now and then I think of that too -- how much money gets tossed around in this industry.

the artists usually give out cds to promote. i just remembered junsu (http://youtu.be/jI-YqdBrKtg?t=34m46s) going around passing out cds in japan. ;; ig they mean that the companies aren't even going to bother w/ those groups hence why they just threw their cds away :/

Lol maybe some ppl don't have places to keep thousands of signed cds...?? And it would be rude to refuse taking their cd... and selling them/giving them away publicly is also disrespectful.... and bothersome since they receive so many. Idk, seems best to try to get rid of them quietly lol

I know someone who works in MBC and she always gets a ton of autographed cds that get passed down to the employees. And she works in the human resources department lmao. The amount of CDS that get around in tv stations every week for music shows is crazy.

lol this makes me remember when once i was on taobao looking for cds and saw some signed cds that the groups gave to ivy being sold there, she probs gave the cds to her staff and they passed the cds lol

they do have lots of signed cds but they are mostly fake tho, it's really hard to find real ones. but i was there looking for normal cds with no signs on them lol then i found those with real signs and with messages to "ivy sunbaenim" lol

They could've at least thrown them away discreetly...or donated them? Re-gifted them to their teen relatives? Tossing them out (esp the signed ones) just feels really mean spirited. Understand they probably get TONS of unwanted CDs (and most ppl d/l right?) so it's got to be "bothersome" but, that's like peeing all over someone's art project. Not cool.

Throwing it out is rude. Could have saved them for a publicity stunt like donating a whole bunch of them or put them up on sale for fans to actually Want it and giving the proceeds to a charity.

But..Omg if I found this box of treasures, I would have taken all the albums I could carry. And then sell them ahaha.

They are all so well made, that is sad, but maybe they tried to pass them on but couldn't? I mean, if you are a fan you already have one, or a bunch, and most regular people aren't interested in kpop, also they probably get lots of it, who knows, still such a waist. I think Jonghyun said he only gave his album to members and people that worked on it, that if someone wanted to listen they can buy it, i kind of see why, i mean, why give your album to people that just don't care enough to keep it?

i used to work in a cd store and we got a lot of free promo cds to play in the store, and we would always get to take the older ones home. i figure there must have been some employees at these places that would want to take home free cds...
