I still like Beautiful, and Love Run is really pretty. Heights kinda reminds me of Airplanes' vibe? I like it too.

I think she auditioned as a singer, and was even signed as one, but then they decided to make her a rapper even though she had no experience. IIRC anyway.

They have been letting her sing more and more as time goes by. But she's still their designated ~rapper~ so yeaaah.

The only song I like is Beautiful (and the rap almost ruins it). I like the korean version of gs/ijw more (the vocal combo).

Overall it's a decent (soft pop ballad) album, and the title track was add in because it's more SM-style.

This is such a nice album. I like that she sang on the majority of it and there's a real vulnerability to the project. I think any of the other songs would've been a better title but that SM wasn't willing to commit to Amber not being 'typical Amber' or expect the public to easily embrace that part of her for a title track so they threw together something to make the single and left the rest of the mini to be more melodic/ballads.

My favorites were def Heights and Love Run! Amber's not a vocal powerhouse or anything but barring STB, I think this was a great, vulnerable first EP for a budding singer/songwriter. I really hope she continues to develop her skills in producing and singing because I know she'll continue to improve. SM better let her release another album..

I seriously love the tone of her voice. Sigh SM why do you this? She over here singing these high ass notes I didn't even know she could hit. For shame, SM....lol. I would have liked it if Amber was singing on STB instead of Taeyeon.

SM, you got some SERIOUS 'splaining to do re: why STB (which is still a pretty solid bop, don't get me wrong) was the single when Heights exists. Oh god that song just made me actually tear up. SO PERFECT. "So here I go~"

Oooooh believe it or not this is actually the first time I've heard Eric sing (I know, I know, must go fix that) and I love the tone on his voice. Hearing Amber ace all the high notes and vocal frills makes me grin.

Beautiful still kills me in the best way. ♥

AMBER'S VOICE THOUGH. OH GOD. This shows it so well, that she's got this lovely tone and her high notes are fantastic and SM YOU ARE IDIOTS FOR MAKING HER HIDE THIS.

I remember a long time ago i read somewhere that she initially was training to be in a ballad group. In the end she debuted in F(X) instead.

i like how its a very sincere effort. heights, beautiful and love run are very good. i just wanna is passable, but i'm not fond of the english lyrics lol

TBH I feel like the kpop industry really pushes power vocalists as 'legit' soloists which is partly the issue. Even then it's a really specific type of voice that is idealized.
