I want him to try something daaaaark. No more cute angsty heartthrob but maybe something similar to Joon in Gapdong (which I actually haven't watched but have been meaning to). All of his roles have been great but they're all so similar. I wish he'd do something completely different.

Judging by stuff he said he seems to have thought that Dr Stranger would be that darker drama for him but it's kinda obvious he's not happy abt what it became.

Hot Blooded Youth was at least a change of pace bc he played a greasy player type and made it work, but ia that he could use a change, esp in his tv work. .

Look on the bright side, that turd p much lit a fire under Jong Suk, Kang Sora and Park Hae Jin's asses to get themelves to better projects stat, and they were recognised for doing their best despite a shit script.

DS did them all dirty but at least I'll never have to see Sora playing second lead to constipated-looking Jin Se Yeon ever again (speaking of which, that one deserves to be demoted back to playing the hero's little sister in dailies or sth, please never cast her as lead again, none for her)

Hot Bloded Youth bore me so much. I feel asleep halfway though and my sister, who is also a big Jong Suk fan agreed how boring is the movie. Due to that, he somehow make conclusion that all Jong Suk movies are boring lol.

I sat and watched the ~27 minute YT upload of all the commercials for this (or whatever they were) on accident(?). Had no idea how long it was til I looked at the clock like, "oh". smh @ myself. #thethirst

he looked so done in this photoshoot, practically dead behind the eyes and his smile was awfully fake - this coming from a really big ljs fan, lmao. but whatever rakes in the money, i guess.

i want to see him in something darker, too. he mentioned in a recent interview he always wanted to play "stronger" roles (i'm guessing serial killer-ish roles, idk) but that he has more or less subjected himself to this teenybopper stuff because it works for his "image".

this also reminds me that i chanced upon this post on tumblr that written by a lee soohyuk fan recently, and she was saying how valid love was horrible because it wasn't romantic, and her oppa plays the "bad guy". i think fans play a huge part in what roles young actors/actresses are picking these days, too.
