Former MBLAQ member Thunder has joined Mystic Entertainment‘s music label, APOP.

APOP announced the news on February 11, stating, “Thunder is a star with numerous talents. We are planning on supporting him not only in music, but in acting and variety shows, among others. Especially in terms of acting, Mystic Entertainment’s actor agency Family Actors will be actively supporting him.”

APOP is a music label under Mystic Entertainment, led by producer Cho Young Chul. It is also home to artists like Gain of Brown Eyed Girls and Jo Hyung Woo, as well as composer Lee Min Soo and lyricist Kim Eana.

APOP further explained Thunder and the agency’s relationship in their statement. “Producer Cho Young Chul has known him since before his debut. Thunder was a trainee at Loen Entertainment, and he even featured in IU‘s ‘Merry Early Christmas‘ from her third album, which was produced by Producer Cho.”

Thunder debuted in 2009 as part of the boy group MBLAQ. He left the group in December of 2014 to pursue solo activities.

Mystic Entertainment is a multi-entertainment company consisting of Yoon Jong Shin‘s label MYSTIC89, APOP, and actor agency Family Actors.

He was always funny on MBLAQ's shows so he could do well on variety + he's a fair composer, but I wouldn't be sad if he never sang or acted again. :3 I'm glad he found a new home though.

My favourite member of MBLAQ+my favourite label wahhh

(Tbh though I just mainly like him because he and Dara have a relationship that reminds me of my brother and I)

I hope he will do well in the future!

*sighs* all last night and this morning I've been watching MBLAQ MVs and variety appearances, all up in my feels.

But I'm glad to see Thunder's going to continue his career. Some of the snippets of songs he played on I think it was the Idol Manager show, showed promise, so I hope schooling and age perfect his craft. Looking forward to seeing this QT in more dramas hopefully better than Nail Shop Paris

considering how he participated in making 'sexy beat' (wish it was a full song :( ) and some other awesome songs MBLAQ has released, I really think he'll be able to produce some more awesome stuff. to me, it's a matter of him strengthening his vocals; if he gets that down, I think he'll have a pretty stable solo career.

Yup, I know^_^ but "participate" can mean anything, so I don't usually count that as a real gage of someone's talent. And after his self written/produced release MONSTER, IMHO he still needs work on that as well. But yeah, his voice could definitely use some work too. He's still young and has plenty of time to polish himself up.

Nice, I do like him as a composer so I'm eager to see what he'll do :)

Man I saw those recent press pics of MBLAQ's remaining members and it was just so hard to look at T______T

Finally catching up on this news. I'm glad he's found an agency that wants to support him in the areas he is interested in and has abilities in. I hope they'll help him find the best opportunities and that he'll be happy working with them.
