Will Hong Jung Hyun Compete With Park Yoo Chun?

Hong Jung Hyun might be just the actor to round out the love triangle in the upcoming drama "Sense of Men and Women."

On February 10, his agency, Yong Entertainment, told Newsen that he is considering the role but nothing has yet been decided.

"His appearance in SBS' 'Sense of Men and Women' is being discussed internally," said the Yong Entertainment representative.

If Hong Jung Hyun does take a role in the drama, his character might have to compete with Park Yoo Chun's character for the drama's female lead.

The drama, previously known by the title of "The Girl Who Sees Smells," tells the story of a man whose younger sister was murdered in an incident that was known as The Barcode Murder Case. The female lead is a woman who somehow survived the same incident. She has no memory of what happened but the incident was responsible for her developing supernaturally heightened senses, including the ability to visualize smells. The violent and unsolved death of the main character's sister inspires him to become a police officer so he can solve crimes. But the incident so thoroughly traumatized him that he cannot relate emotionally.

Together the characters must work to restore her memories of the incident. That way they can solve the case that has haunted both of their lives.

Hong Jung Hyun would play a wealthy charming executive at a gaming company. His character falls in love with the female lead at first sight. And he has a lot to offer, looks, a kind and humble character, a wealthy background. But he will face some stiff competition from Park Yoo Chun's character.

Hong Jung Hyun was last seen in the dramas "Mama" and "Cyrano: Dating Agency" and he also appears on "We Got Married," where he is paired with Girls Day's Yura.

Both actors are probably waiting to see who will be cast as the female lead before they confirm their participation. Miss A's Suzy Bae was up for the role but declined due to her busy schedule.

If Park Yoo Chun does decide to take the role, it will be something of a reunion for him, as he previously worked with the drama's writer and director.

Lee Hee Myung wrote Park Yoo Chun's time travel romantic comedy "Rooftop Prince," as well as the melodrama "Yawang." Shin Yoon Shub, who directed "Rooftop Prince" is also directing "Sense of Men and Women."

I'm kinda of hoping for Yoochun to decline and HJH to get offered the lead (pipe dreams i know). I was really hoping Kim Ji Won would accept bcuz she's darling and would give life to this drama but I think she declined.

It would be nice to get Han Groo into the drama ideally if KJW declined and I hope Yoochun accepts bcuz I wanna see him one more time before he enlists but if not I'd like Lee Soo Hyuk to star. He did well in Valid Love and this would be a good career step up for him. I also want HJH to accept since this character is a light, smiley character and his imagine needs the boost.

SBS has been tanking but hopefully this drama isn't a mess and it gets decent ratings and a good cast. This webtoon into drama trend hasn't been all that successful but we'll see

Doesn't sound good but I wanna watch Yoochun in one last drama before he enlists. Get an actress I like and I might watch it~
