Instiz: Member of a top idol group prepares to leave... another contract lawsuit battle


1. There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the legal contracts binding singers to their companies. Another such legal battle has been spotted, this time between a large company 'A' and member 'B' from a huge/top level idol group. B has been found to be raising his voice in his intentions to leave the group, and company A has put a halt to all of the group's activities because of B. A has never had any contract troubles in the past and has been working to persuade B to change his mind in order to maintain their image as a trustable company. They have no problem with B leaving but care more about their company's image. Industry insiders are currently fixated on when exactly B will file his lawsuit against his company.

2. C and D are currently in a public relationship but have been spotted with some suspicious behavior after a recent bout of rumors surfaced claiming that they broke up. As they say, there's no smoke without fire, and their overly sensitive reaction to the rumors has people thinking that the rumors might just have some weight to them. C has already banned questions about his relationship being asked in public and D, when asked about C, overreacts to any talk about C. Their agencies have tried to put out some damage control by saying they're still dating happily, so perhaps the rumors were just a momentary rut in their relationship.

3. E recently got swept into some dating rumors. Although he adamantly denied them, more rumors are bound claiming that he is indeed dating the lady in question. The behind-the-scenes story to this is that E was originally going to confirm the dating rumors but opted not to to protect the private life of his new woman. Curiosity about who the woman is ran high, launching 'netizen investigations' into the rumors. The woman eventually had to beg E to keep their relationship on the downlow, which he complied with.

4. F and G were recently swept in dating rumors, but it was found to be just that, rumors, stemming from an overlap in names. G previously had dating scandals with another man who shares a similar name to F, and the dating rumors eventually developed into F being involved. F and G first came to know each other through a collaboration performance and are known for being close, lending more weight to the rumors.

2) Either Taeyeon and Baekhyun or Nichkhun and Tiffany. Both of them have been talked about recently, in regards to breaking up.

supposedly bigbang's contracts all expire in 2015 so probably not, if top any of them want to leave to be furniture designers forever to do something else all they have to do is drag the album prep out for another few months.

big bang doesn't seem likely to me. they're already so free ... like they've been on hiatus for over 1000 days now, right? it seems like they could do solo activities or just not work at all if they wanted. but maybe i just don't want to believe ...

for yg i'd guess winner, but they're not top level.

That said, I'd find it weird if Woollim had no problem with a member of Infinite leaving? Considering they're their main money maker and they just debuted Lovelyz so they probably need the money.

If Sungjong or Sungyeol left a lot of people would see it as getting rid of dead weight (plus it hasn't been until very recent that they started getting activities), but it goes against the whole "ot7" image Woollim's been selling--and company "A" is concerned about their image. Quietly leaving? They could spin something about health issues, etc, but a lawsuit would carry the heavy implication that there's been mistreatment.

It's not about having an immaculate image, the rumoured company hasn't has contract issues with their talent and there are plenty companies that come to mind but mainly YG, FNC and JYP because they haven't had contract issues with their talents.

I was thinking Cube...except BTOB isn't big and Beast is...I don't see them breaking up

I was ruling out FNC and FTIsland until I thought, "If Hongki is tired of their CEO's BS this is the perfect time with the public opinion against him"

I ruled out Big Bang because their contracts should be due and military service is coming...no need to sue

Maybe it's one of those niche groups whose entire company is based around them or have only one idol boy group like B1A4 or Infinite...probably not Vixx since comeback is underway

Weren't fans kind of thinking that KhunFany were engaged or whatever? I remember a lot of people kind of implying/assuming that, considering how long they've been together + the house-buying thing. At least, I remember people saying that it wouldn't be surprising if Tiffany got married soon (back when the OT8 rumors were going around before Sicagate).

I know there was that one time when Seunggi was promoting his movie and said that he didn't want to talk about Yoona bc he was there to promote the movie and wanted to talk about his character's relationship with Moon Chae Won's. Because I hardly imagine any company being ok with letting go of the member from their bread-winning group like Big Bang or Infinite. It's more like company with bigger stable and one of well known but not that important (for the company) group?

Mte. If the group is really that big, how are you ok with anyone leaving? Even if it is one of the ~dead weights kind of member, it can still make damage, so it sounds weird to me.
