I love MIB's music, but I don't know anything about the members at all, and I've always LOVED the Korea flag.

Gotta say though, this doesn't bother me at all. I'm a high school teacher and first term year 9 the topic is the flag. They analyse each part of the flag - colours, symbols, history, etc. - and then they get to argue whether the flag should be kept or changed. The reasoning includes whether it represents the Indigenous people of our country, our multicultural society, an empirical history, or is symbolic of our nation. If they argue against keeping they design an alternative flag, taking into account the significance of colour and symbolism again. Frankly I don't see anything wrong with having an opinion about your country's flag and considering alternatives.

I also don't see why this opinion means that the bloke could have a bad relationship with his half-Japanese band mate. A person can argue that their flag shouldn't have the British flag in the corner of it as thus is a sign of invasion and imperialism without hating the British.

I'm not saying his views on the Korean flag are correct or that he's not reading too much into irrelevant details and looking for controversy. Just that I don't see why this is considered some kind of trainwreck?
