Pann: Blind item about an actor who hits child actors

WIth the media abuzz about shocking stories of teachers physically disciplining pre-school children, something similar is also happening in the entertainment industry. The talk of a famous veteran actor 'A' in his thirties habitually hitting the child actors he works with has been the talk of industry insiders as of late.

Actor 'A' has been known for his ability to act out a wide spectrum of roles ranging from innocent romantic ones to completely scary antagonists. His excellent acting skills earned him a strong following of fans from all ages and genders. He's recently cemented his name as a true 'actor' by putting his name up there alongside other talented known actors.

Where the double image comes in to play is on the film set. Unlike his gentle image, he turns a complete 180 when working on scenes with children. The scenario of the new work itself could change his image from a strong one to a smooth one, and considering his long hiatus from the industry, it's important that he is met with success for his comeback.

Perhaps he cracked under the pressure of his comeback? Under the tight film schedule, he seemed to take his stress out on the child actors on set with him, shouting at them verbal abuse like, "You're supposed to cry harder in this scene!", "Are you going to be responsible if this movie fails!", "I'm curious as to how someone pathetic like you got cast in this", and "You can't even cry properly?"

His physical abuse also wasn't limited to one child. He'd criticize their acting and pinch them and hit them and hit them some more for being so rowdy off camera. He'd also claim to teach them manners by slapping them on the face and hitting them elsewhere under the guise as a joke. One rep who watched this going on said, "It was so shocking when I saw A hit a child like that. But the media keeps portraying him as a gentleman. Staff who filmed a movie with him refuse to ever work with him again."

A's history of physical violence is actually a well known fact in the industry. He's also been in several other blind items for such cases as well, one being when he was out drinking with his company staff and got into a physical brawl with a female employee who worked there. He had clarified at the time, "The female employee got into a fight with someone sitting next to me and a physical fight broke out while I was trying to break up the fight."

Usually I forget about blind items after I've read them until we later find out who it was about, but I haven't been able to forget that one, and it's made me wary about a few of the suspected idols - I don't want to become too much of a fan of them in case, you know....one of them turns out to be a serial rapist.

If it's true, he needs to be outed immediately.
