M.I.B’s Kangnam Passed Audition After Losing 30 Kilograms

M.I.B’s Kangnam shared the story behind his debut.

During the January 27 broadcast of KBS 2FM’s Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio, Kangnam said, “When I auditioned to become a singer, I weighed over 90 kilograms. At the time the PD told me to come back after losing weight.”

Kangnam added, “I lost over 30 kilograms afterwards and ran into the same PD on the street by coincidence. The PD told me, ‘You’re highly determined,’ and passed me on the audition.”

Kangnam then said, “Although it was a bust, I’ve entered the world of music,” bringing out laughter.

Kangnam is currently appearing on JTBC’s I’m Going to School, Salon de Raison and MBC’s I Live Alone.
