Singer Yewon complained on Twitter that her fans were being mistreated by her agency.
On January 27, she said through her Twitter account, “I wonder when you will listen to the voices of minorities. I’m so upset.”
Earlier, Yewon had uploaded on Twitter pictures along with a text saying, “The heart of [my fans] that prepared banners to congratulate me, but had to spread it on the ground because my company wouldn’t give them a feedback. Thank you so much, and I’ll apologize instead [of the company]. I’m Sorry.”
The uploaded photos are of banners prepared by Jewelry’s fans that say “Yewon and Semi, Great work. You did well. To the fans, Jewelry will go on forever,” and “Thank you for everything, JEWELRY forever.” Although they were prepared in order to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Yewon and Semi’s debut as Jewelry, the banners are all spread on the ground.
With Ye Won expressing discontent with her agency on Twitter, her agency is currently looking into the situation.
On January 27, a Star Empire Entertainment rep told Newsen, "We just checked Ye Won′s SNS post. We don′t know why she posted it. We′re currently looking into the situation."
The rep continued, "We′ll reveal our stance once we figure out why Ye Won made that post."
Earlier in the day, Ye Won posted on her Twitter, "I′m so thankful for your hearts to congratulate me even if it meant putting the prepared banner on the ground after not being able to hang it up because there was no feedback from the agency. I want to apologize instead. I′m sorry."
Making everyone′s curiosity spike up, Ye Won continued, "When will we listen to the voices of the minority? This is really making me angry."
Meanwhile, Ye Won′s group, Jewelry, disbanded on January 7 after 14 years of activities.
