In light of the recent dating “scandal” involving actor Hong Jong Hyun and After School‘s Nana, Korean netizens are providing alleged “evidence” the against actor.

From a video that surfaced, Korean netizens have said the actor is extremely cold towards his virtual wife, Yura of Girls’ Day, off camera. Although both Pledis Entertainment and Withmay have denied the rumors, they still are stating his cold attitude towards Yura is due to the fact that Nana and Jong Hyun are dating.

A 15 second video began garnering a lot of attention as it features Jong Hyun and Yura in Indonesia for their honeymoon episode on MBC‘s We Got Married. Korean netizens claimed that Hong Jong Hyun does not take care of Yura, and that his actions on the show are completely fake.

Hong Jong Hyun and Nana were allegedly said to have been dating after meeting on Onstyle‘s Style Log. Both agencies and the producers of We Got Married have come to deny that the rumors of them dating are false. After the rumors began, the scandal has conflicted with his appearance on the show as part of the virtual couple, and netizens have requested for the couple to leave the show or release an official statement on the situation.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmT they're reaching with that fancam.

there r PLENTY of other fancams that show him standing close to yura and walking with her through the terminal. there were also fan accounts saying some fans got out of hand with the pictures and crowding so security had to step in. u can see in some fancams that there were SO MANY ppl around them and this clip looks like it's towards the end when they were getting rushed off to a car or something idek. also jong hyun is a smoker who just got off a flight from seoul to bali and that dude grabbed his arm and pulled him forward. jong hyun pulling his arm away seems pretty natural---i woulda done the same thing...

but u kno the saying, when it rains it pours? at this rate jong hyun will have to literally set himself on fire if yura says she's cold in order to get back on the winning side, ROFL! isn't that SAD?!

WGM can either make or break u but i honestly cant see the PDs letting this couple go without a fight. they got such a positive response after their appearance at the MBC entertainment awards.

MEANWHILE, hong jin young and nam goong min r just chilling, lol. well loved couple just doing their thing and collecting a paycheck.

Yep, this was reaching. He just didn't want the guy holding his forearm, and he has problems holding hands on the show, much less for real. The amount of hate he's getting is extreme, although I think he should start acting and at least pretend some interest. (And really if you want to see him being cold to Yura, you could just watch some of the episodes, lol).

But I think they should and will get rid of this couple. JaeRim may not be as popular as before SoEun's comments, but they were the top couple and even got the award. And Nam Goong Min couple are getting such positive feedback now, I don't see them ending unless they already have 2 new couples lined up.

I think they'll get rid of this couple as its the most problematic to see if they can repair their reputation. Or why not introduce the concept of "divorce?' That would be different.

i dont understand when ppl say that jong hyun was always cold/never showed interest in yura because it simply isnt true.

the thing is, they were actually progressing pretty nicely in the beginning. their first trip (where they had the photoshoot) went REALLY well. he actually told her to hold his hand, he kept getting scolded because he couldn't stop smiling while they were taking pictures, he BUILT her an easel to draw on, etc. they had this REALLY lovely date right after where he showed her around his neighborhood/school and they went to the zoo. he looked like he was REALLY enjoying himself, had his hands on her back/shoulder, took pictures with her, cooked for her, etc. he was slow but at least it was GOING somewhere.

lately...they've been treading water. instead of episodes that show them getting closer and closer (like how it was in the beginning) we're getting one step forward too steps back. it's why the criticisms were recent and only escalated with the dating rumors.

this isnt the first time WGM had to deal with this issue. but in previous cases they had dispatch leaking images---we have yet to get anything out of jong hyun's and nana's supposed relationship.

doesnt mean they'll keep this couple, true---but if the PDs can turn this around it would be pretty epic. i mean, the ratings havent suffered even a little bit since the scandal broke.

To base his personality or their social relationship off a single and short fancam is not logical.
From what I see, Yura was a bit behind because she kept waving at fans while Jonghyun seemed to be in a hurry and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

As for the guide hand thing, well .. I guess he doesn't like to be touched like that with people he's not familiar with? I honestly don't care. As long as they don't treat each other disrespectfully and are professional.

I watched a cpl of their eps out of curiosity; one had part of their honeymoon and the other was the one where they went to visit her parents. They talked about his prickly ass attitude and how cold he was. If this video was from their honeymoon they'd only met up, what twice? Do they really think he's going to sweep her off her feet and run away with her (to safety, ig?)? They act like holding hands is going to 2nd base, so...?? IG it's like the ppl who are super into WWE, they live in the fantasy.

Leave my boy alone, urgh! The situation at the Bali airport was messy. Before that fancam, they were walking all over the place thanks to the crowd and transportation arrangements. They were tired from the flight, and Jonghyun is sensitive about being crowded and touched by people (especially strangers, duh, who isn't?). This is just ridiculous.

Screw the WGM PD for wanting the 'cold handsome man falls for silly innocent girl' ISWAK-esque concept for them in the first place. He's a fair and upright person who is just an introvert and too self-aware. He doesn't deserve this witch hunt.

i honestly see wgm as a drama but without the usual hijinks like a couple finding out they're acting siblings or someone suddenly developing a life-threatening illness. it's light-hearted, it's fun, and yes, it's scripted. i think to some degree their real personalities shine through, but it's still scripted. i honestly don't really care if they're dating someone else irl because i know it's scripted.

hell, we all know it's scripted. why are people still giving him a hard time about it? it's pretty much the same thing as if he was starring in a romance drama while dating someone who isn't his romantic interest in the drama...
