We need a beauty post, mods. So please accept this :D

The silicone things for spots sound amazing tbh. What Korean beauty products have you tried from Queen Lisa's haul, Omona?

I find Korean skincare to be always evolving. So don't fall in love with the products and just keep trying stuff. :)

haha, i bought the silicone nose thing from etude house but i ended up using it for an entirely different cause... as my dog's toothbrush haha. and it works very well as a doggie toothbrush.

spent $180 on testerkorea and the things finally came!! do you guys finish up your old products before using the new ones? i bought new cleansers, but i'm not even half way done with my old one. don't know if i should open another one yet...

Depends if I like the product? Before switching to clinique, i went through my body shop tea tree oil set. But then i bought face shop, and ditch my clinique set immediately.

i alwaaaays finish up my stuff before trying new ones, unless said product made my skin break or smth.

My mum got me this body shop seaweed ionic clay mask some months ago and i only opened it last sunday bc my innisfree clay mask was done lol. And i only order new stuff when i'm past done the half of the product, that way im sure it will arrive once the product is finished hahaha

After spending almost $100 on clinique not too long ago, i just recently dropped over $200 on faceshop :/ i got the chia seed line. I haven't even gone through a quarter of my clinique products. I'm really liking it at least, so no regrets.

Oh my god what did you buy at Faceshop if I might ask .-. I can never spend over 30$ even on my wildest sprees, and anything you recommend?

have you tried their new turnaround serum (I can't remember the new name, but it comes in a tall thin cylinder)?

I have a lot of Korean sheet masks and have the Laneige Water Sleep Pack, all of which I think have no real visible effect. The water pack actually makes me have a pimple or two after using it :/.

I do quite like Asian sunscreen much better than US ones. My favorite one is actually Shiseido's sunscreen line, but I do have one by Nature Republic which is comparable.

PS has anyone tried OTC's Vitamin C serum?

It's awesome! I use it religiously at night and my skin has improved so much in the four weeks since I bought it. The new formula is a lot less sticky, but it does sting if you've just exfoliated. (Also, I recommend trying su:m37's Bubble-De Mask. It really brightens your skin, and the results last for a good two or three days after each use.)

Yes! I've used it for about two, three months now. The vit c, along with Mizon's 8% AHA has made a huge difference - my skin is smoother and more glowy.

Tbh I'm not a makeup person more of like...a skin care person and I really like the faceshop's waterful green tea thing, and mango + rice face foams. The only masks that seem to be helpful are the rice and kelp ones.

Anyhow I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on pore minimizers (I used to use the green garnier exfoliator but I stopped since I found out they support isreal = =) and eyebrow....things.

i bought a ton of skincare stuff recently but im still warily patch testing so i cant make any recommendations yet.

i used anastasia dipbrow for the first time yesterday!!! and wow, it is super pigmented. i have naturally thick and dark arched brows so it felt kind of unnecessary on me, i dont really like the power brow trend either so i dont think ill use it again lol.

is anyone else excited for warmer weather just to change up their look?? :-) ive been wearing purplish and burgundy lipsticks all autumn and winter plus red eyeliner/eyeshadow (channeling my inner lady vengeance) but i want to pick up some of the lavender and coral lip and blush products lisa showed in this video for spring

Spring/Summer is really my favorite time of the year in regards to makeup!!! I'm really into coral blushes and bright lipsticks (Reds, fuschias, corals, etc)

I need to watch her other Korean makeup video again, I wanna get that dewy look.

Re: skincare I got a tip about using facecloths to exfoliate my face instead of buying a clarisonic, so that's what I've been doing and it works the best for me! But instead of spending money I cut up these ribbed tank tops I got from a pack at a Macy's Mens. Eventually I will get baby facecloths instead lmao idk how long that'll last me.

Skincare (I have super dry skin)
Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask (I only use it as a cleanser and on pimples bc it kills them well)
Shiseido TISS 2way off oil (I use this only if I wear makeup before using a cleanser and I LOOOOVE IT!! It makes my face feel so smooth and clean afterwards)
Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum (smells lovely, absorbs well, I feel it helps my moisturizers after absorb better too)
Hado Labo Hyaluronic Liquid (the clear lotion. SOOOOOOO moisturizing. HG status for me!! I have 3 bottles of this stuff because it's so much more expensive and harder to find in the states)
Cerave PM lotion (HG lotion. Fragrance free, easily absorbed, really moisturizes well)
In the AM I will either use Cerave AM for sunscreen or Nature Republic UV Lock Flower Aqua Sun Liquid

Things I've tried that haven't worked for me: Paula's Choice 2% AHA and 10% BHA lotions, Missha's Time Revolution Serum (the purple bottle), Missha's Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence, Laneige Water Sleeping Pack

Makeup
For makeup I really Sana's Pore Putty, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, Clinique High Impact Lipstick in Red-Y to wear, MAC's black gel liner, Lancome's Juicy Tube in Simmer, and Lancome Color Design Lipsticks in Natural Beauty and Rich Cashmere, Kiss Me Heroine Make's mascaras and mascara remover), and Maybelline's Vivid line lipsticks in Vivid Rose

korean skincare fucked my skin up, tbh. too many layers and chemicals. innisfree is the only brand that (usually) didn't make me break out. i use their face masks a lot. however, i know a lot of non-koreans who say that innisfree always makes them break out, so i guess my skin is the outlier.

Mine too :( I'm only just getting rid of some of the marks, and others scarred. I've always had sensitive skin so I probably shouldn't have experimented.

Out of all the stuff I tried, the only products that worked out were an Innisfree makeup remover (apple juicy), a lotion from tony moly's I'm Real line (the seaweed one), and holika holika's super cera moisturizer. The lotion+moisturizer combo works really well though, so maaaaaaybe the scars were worth it.

Are the silicone things hydrocolloid patches? I bought some via Amazon Subscribe and Save on the cheap and they are awesome. All the postpartum hormones are giving me nasty cystic acne on my chin. With most bumps, I have to wait until a head is formed but they help on the cystic stuff. The baby is only a few months old so I was going to wait a month or two and then see my doctor and ask for a referral to a dermatologist.

I've been looking at the Sokoglam site, specifically this thing-

Ugh, I wished I could try some of that skin care because my face is just a MESS lately but I'm poor lol so home remedies will have to do.

I love all the lip products she showed. I can't wait until it's warmer so I can start wearing pinkish/orangey blushes and glossy fuchsia lips <3

I'm guessing she doesn't realize the Elizavecca carbonated clay mask is a cleanser mask? You use it to clean your face first. I want to try it but I'm having a hard trying to decide between it and the piggy jella mask. I wish the Korean online stores could go easy on the shipping prices.

try jolse.com! they have good prices i think and I believe their shipping is free worldwide / or it's 2.50 usd for a tracking #. their selection isn't as wide, but they have quite a lot of the skincare stuff I look for.

you might like banilo co's clean it zero, which you can apply dry (honestly that's probably what gets me washing my face bc it's that much easier..) and it's kind of waxy and then emulsifies into a liquid once you apply water. they also have a sensitive skin version w/o mineral oil

I've changed my skincare routine for the new year, but I don't know how much I can attribute to the new products, or to the change of air. I went to Thailand for the holidays and there was so much pollution my face was an erupting volcano. Back in Europe, it took weeks to calm down and now it's as normal as it can get for a dry and acne-prone skin. Still have the occasional pimple and the usual red marks, but it's as good as it can get.

I've started using Skinfood's Tomato whitening set followed by the faceshop water drop sleeping pack during the week nighttime. For the weekend, I use a clinique wash soap, skinfood parsley and mandarin toner for troubled skin, The Faceshop Pore Minimizer Controlling emulsion followed by Missha's snail's sleeping pack.
