Soyou and Dasom Name Hyolyn as the Prettiest SISTAR Member

During the January 15 broadcast of MBC Every1’s Showtime, the SISTAR members were asked, “Who is the best out the members?”

“Bora unnie is the best at finding things," said Soyou. “Hyolyn unnie is the best when it comes to persistence. She becomes really obsessed. There is no end to her making fun of us. She’s persistent.”

Then Hyolyn said, “Everyone is pretty, so it’s hard to pick the best in terms of looks. But today, Bora unnie is the prettiest. Because Bora unnie was the ugliest yesterday.”

Upon hearing Hyolyn, Soyou said, “Personally, my ranking in terms of looks in SISTAR was Dasom, Hyolyn then Bora. But now it’s different. Hyolyn became the prettiest. She looks softer after gaining weight. She looks the prettiest these days,” causing Hyolyn to laugh.

Dasom agreed with Soyou by saying, “I also think that way. Bora unnie used to be the prettiest, but nowadays Hyolyn unnie is the prettiest.”

Showtime is a program based on the viewers’ questions for the stars. SISTAR has been selected as the fourth idol group of Showtime, following EXO, B2ST and A Pink.



1. [+354, -16] Dasom's pretty but she's like a Shih Tzu in that her face looks pushed in. I personally find Bora the best in terms of looks and body.. but she's in an awkward position because she can't sing or act and is only good at exercising.

This reply is coming really late (didn't even realize I haven't gone on Omona in 5 days) but I hope it's still relevant!

I myself have only watched the first episode, but from what I gather - it's because the Sistar members are quite boisterous when they're together and always talking over each other. Bora doesn't seem like the kind who'd push for her voice to be heard over, say - Soyou or Hyorin, so she usually ends up not continuing with whatever she might have been saying.

Doesn't help that in the first episode, there was a segment where Bora got singled out for being the worst at variety. Couple that with Bora being the oldest, and I guess it just seemed like the rest were being disrespectful/bullies.

But basically, it was nothing - netizens are overreacting and projecting.

Are they really treating Bora like that or are the netizens reaching? I haven't watched Showtime yet and I couldn't really get in any of their other shows.
She's always been my fave. I like Hyorin and Soyou, but there's something about Bora that just makes me like her more.

I watched the first episode and I didn't feel that at all. I also watched their Hong Kong special and if anything Soyou and Bora seemed more of a pair. There's banter between all of them but no more or less than any other group and none of it malicious. I just think netizens have trouble sometimes reacting to Hyorin and Soyou's stronger personalities but that's a long winded rant for another day

I think Bora is #1 but it's a pretty tight race. I wonder if their opinions might differ from outside viewers because they've known each other for a while and see each other quite often? I would say Hyorin and Soyou especially have become more pretty since debut.

Hm... well personally, I put Bora as #1 in visuals alone.
But Hyorin has the most presence and charisma on stage which makes her more captivating and attractive.

The girls are choosing based on popularity and media exposure and not based only on visuals. Hyorin has been getting a LOT of activities (maybe more than Soyu). While Bora only has a MC position?

Strictly speaking visually I always thought Bora was the most beautiful but Hyorin has a charm and personality the surpasses all. I can't think of anyone in kpop that comes close to her talent, beauty and wit.
