M.I.B′s Kangnam Switches Up His Hairstyle on ′I Live Alone′



Kangnam will be changing up his hairstyle.

In the upcoming January 16 episode of MBC′s I Live Alone, M.I.B′s Kangnam will be throwing away his trademark yellow hair for a new look.

Recently, Kangnam′s hairstyle has been pinpointed by Kim Goo Ra and Yoon Do Hyun during broadcasts. Also on internet communities, people have asked Kangnam to change his hairstyle. After seeing a video of himself during the early days of his debut, Kangnam decided to make a transformation, feeling that he needs to maintain his looks better.

Speaking with a stylist at the salon, Kangnam decided to dye his hair, dreaming of becoming similar to his role models, Odagiri Joe and Brad Pitt.

After getting his hair done, he went out to the streets to test out his popularity with his new hair style.

The episode will air on January 16.

Kangnam is Unrecognizable After His New Hairdo in “I Live Alone”



Singer Kangnam gave a change to his image by cutting his hair and dying it. However, few seemed to recognize him after his transformation.

In MBC’s “I Live Alone,” which aired on January 16, Kangnam was shown to have changed his hairstyle after a long debate.

Kangnam, who was known for his blonde hair, showed up with dark colored hair and much shorter hair.

Kim Kwang Gyu reacted to his transformation by saying, “It’s too calm. It suits you, but you lost your character. It feels like you are wearing a wig.”

Kangnam, worried about the negative comments, said, “What if people don’t recognize me anymore?”

In determination to see whether or not he would be noticed with his new hairdo, he headed out to a bus station. However, while he was pacing around, nobody seemed to notice him at all. In desperation, he even mentioned his own name by saying, “I’m heading over to Kangnam,” but nobody seemed to realize the presence of the idol.

His next stop was his neighborhood market, where only the owner of a shop he regularly visits noticed him. When a man stared at Kangnam, getting his hopes up, the idol asked if the man knew who he was. Sadly, the answer was no.

In response to all the people who did not recognize him, he said, “I will have to work harder. And better.”

I'm massively Kangnam biased, but tbh that blond was really unflattering. it would have been unflattering on anyone but his skintone really, really didn't suit the brassiness of it either. but I also don't really love this brown? it's a little too ashy. I liked his orange during Chisa Bounce and the black during Dash, or the hair he had during Nod Along. maybe it'll grow on me but this hairstyle is a lil too suburban mom for my tastes lmfao

im praying he will change it. also this shade of brown looks sorta greenish... i have natural brown hair and used to have highlights under my fringe. i tend to use temp dyes to darken my hair and the yellow part always turned out greenish. its hardly a nice look :p
